Slyest Poems | Examples

Dicing Spin

Your trademark omnivorous stunts
Glean clean what minute remnants
Menaced graces do sparingly yield;
And take back reliefs heavens field.

Inclement rob your ravenous fangs;
Mowing to naught crumbs of bread
That divine hand her children gives,
Thieving sure bits with slyest tread.

And so at this apt o'clock fine:
Twenty minutes short of nine,
Soon coming date of May 2022;
I deal you an irrevocable adieu.

And whenever your urgings goad,
In attempt to re-hook my psyche;
These sad goodbye lines I'll recite
And at once renew my full dislike.

Keep every penny you stole,
Without remorse own it all;
In vain would I seek it back
And further lose safest luck.

Competitiveness In Business

Competitiveness in business
Is a sorry sight to witness
Cheating if the chance allows
Lie, slander put them down

Compare it to a sporting fixture
You can’t cheat with refs around
Upfront honesty that features
In business no rules are found

Clueless Bosses that are weak
Sport would see them sink beneath
Sort by results when you compete
Not top because you power seek

Sucking up creates the chances
Manipulative for advances
It’s how liars take advantage
Business leaves you disenchanted

It’s not about who is best
It’s about who is slyest
That’s how to progress
at the top but no better than the rest

When We Fail To Learn of the Holy Spirit

I
The LORD revealed to my pastor, and friend, now mentor
That Jerusalem and Babylon aren't mere "places"
They are People Groups, too: some of us will love Babylon ever!
Thus spake Rev. Kevin Sparrow. The Spirit set our paces
- those in the Lamb's Book - toward the real Zion, home of Creator

II
The key to the Book of The Revelation is "contrast"
Two kingdoms pitted against each other since devil Lucifer
Envied God His Throne - took a third of the angels and led
A rebellion that goes on. One Kingdom is known by legal tender
As legit as $2 note. The other kingdom copies God's dollar
And only the Holy Spirit will teach how to discern The Real v. Imitator

III
Satan is the slyest, if not the cleverest, copycat
His fake trinity poses the enigma about Armageddon, the end of earth!
When we gloss over Bible and The Person of the Holy Spirit
Yes, He is a Person, as are God and Jesus. He glorifies not Himself
But Jesus alone! He unveils the WORD, each letter and its spirit:
You may know The Beast's number, but do you know his 'unholy triumvirate'?

Sweet Deceit of the Silent Night

Poem clarification: I am a farmer and this poem is about a racoon that was flipping the lids of my feed barrels. This is no easy feat to the point that i didn't even think it was possible that a racoon had the strength. This was a BIG racoon. It took almost two months to catch him. Never encountered such an adversary. I've caught red foxes easier, and they are they slyest of the woodland critters. Finally got him with a chicken head and a sticky bun!!!!!

The trip plate was baited with sweet deceit
Covering conformity to the bitter truth
Bit by a mouth with an adumbrated tooth

White lies are being strangled
And are turning an asphyxiating blue
My dying eyes are fixated on you

Salivating over prospects of tantalizing morsels
Both of us are blessed with a fine-tuned sensitivity
Feathered footsteps fall on the steepness of your declivity

No longer will I get to meddle in your affairs
The silent night does not listen as I cop a plea
To the trap door that has fallen shut behind me!

Dragging, Dazed For Days

I'm not too inspired
by life, I admit
the bigger success is
the wider a target
I become, I have found
so I'll just take my life
easy come, little sound
bigger ripples yet
in the water I break
for I am a wise elder
and the slyest of snake
slithering my way
towards my prey, of no chance
for the serpent strikes quickers
than the flick of your glance
then its simply gone
nowhere to be seen
for I am a black snake
and you are a green
the shade of pure envy
smiles so fake
yet they try to be friendly

No, life is a bore
hear me snore, such a chore
for I have conquered
all over, before
now I just sit here
and daydream for hours
watching a box
full of victims, and cowards
green, as their money
for they're hungry, and ruthless
and in the real world,
 their pretending is useless
as the paper that makes us all slaves
losing and fuming, yelling in our caves
its all like, how far, have we really evolved
crowding for drinking, and parking in malls
not even barely above chimpanzee
no, I must tell you,
life is inspired, by me
