This Is Sound By Mashallo Samilo

THIS IS THE SOUND
Food to my heart and soul
Sugar to my ear
Drums beating and guitars skanking
The humming sends me to heaven
The rhythm mends the scattered pieces of my heart
The shelter to my feelings
One dance changed my position
She followed the sound coming from my room

Bobbing my head as I sing along
Dodging the pangs of this ball
A note sets my mood for each day
Unimaginable catastrophe on earth without the vibe
An instant travel around the globe while one is next to the stereo
The twinkling lights, the tigers but only music complements the booze perfectly
Food to my soul and heart
Sugar to my ear
Drums beating and guitars skanking
The humming sends me to heaven
First hit was my granny ululating song, “a star is born”
End of my line, choruses escort me to my final destination

Tuff Gong-Ian Munywe Feb 06 1945-May 11 1981 Part 1

TUFF GONG-IAN MUNYWE
FEB 06 1945-MAY 11 1981
PART 1
Jammin jammin jammin,
jam on rightful king.
In the lounges of Zion,
with your childhood ally.
Peter Tosh together rocking steady.
Rock on as it were in Trench town.
Robert Nesta Marley,
the stone that the builder refused.
Reggae`s undisputed cornerstone,
you adviced judge not.
That we check out,
the real situation.
And that one love,
should emit positive vibration.
Africa unite,
smile Jamaica.
Who the cap will t,
time will tell.
We shall pay no mind,
to top ranking.
We shall be,
easy ‘skanking’.
So much trouble in the world,
but atleast the sun is shining.

It's You

Hey! Rudy, it's you!
That I'm talking to!

With your porkpie hat,
what's up with that
skanking around like you the town
Stompin up the streets as a matter of fact

It's you! That I'm talking to!
Oh rudeboy, I'm talking to you

Mash up the scene
looking pretty mean
starting up fights til the morning light
who you think you are, you little fiend

Back talk and junk talk
that's all that you are
carrying on like you're a big star
Step back and check
what's all this mess?
nobody cares who you think you are

Hey! It's you!
Hey rudeboy, I'm talkin to you

*Here's to the Specials. A hell of a band still going strong. Oi!

What Are Your Words of Poetry Meant For Oh Sage

I.
The wrothful man has regotiated his saliency,
The humble man has neglected his post of "Your Excellency",
Let the pirate look through my one eye of transpareency,
Hope my superman sings along to those dracula's frequencies,
These are not Bulls written in pure fantasy,
Our fleur-de-lis and its very ecstacy,
Not meant for agilely minded Perverts,
Spliffs meant for Godly minds, exhalling Wisdom and Truth.. Selah

II.
Reading to the salient ears of age,
Your teeth gleaning this vast ears of corn,
Seeing men's rage shorten their years,
Or what your ladies who smiled at my no-beard-style have become,
Easy skanking is what my ears hear,
A tip of God given talents,
Many a quail showering my Sweet Heart with "Works so excellent",
God breathes his creative spirit to minds We call "Salient", Selah

Ode To Madness

Baggy Trousers and eating dirt
skanking to music for your money's worth
Blue skinned beast in our house
Prince Buster is the man, not a mouse
Orange street too hot for this town
rudies in the pool hall dancing to this nutty sound
Welcome to the House of Fun
now that you're listenin' the song has begun
Push on down the River Nile
stop and listen for awhile
Must be love I hear them saying
Suggs can never stop playing
Two-tone suits
Doc Martin boots
Fat Footin' all the way
with this sound ain't gonna be a gray day
Ska so good must be love
flying so high on the wings of a dove
