Opportunities
Enfeebled by suffering, my steps refused to abide my call
Tears streamed down when opportunity gently walked into my life
Should I or should I not accept the responsibility that breathed close by?
I laid aside my self pity, doused out the agony with pain killers
And put on my armour of fortitude
Smilingly I went forth with my two stalwarts
As Alexander may have with his army against Poros
In a fierce battle of wits we won a magnificent love cup trophy
Like a towering sterling chalice we held on to its proud handles
The dopamine effect kept us beaming on the podium
As shutterbugs kept us showered in their limelight

The Graduate
The names of success spoken slowly, enunciated with near perfection.
Begetters delighted while warriors of knowledge even prouder.
Frame the object with that pride, etched in bold colors of quested victory.
Intended to render focus where future awaits with her breath of betterment.
Render the mortar board square, keeping the gown smooth as the silk it resembles.
Shutterbugs will capture that smile of a thousand future memories.
A feastful celebration shared in public display, consuming all thoughts of ineptness.
Success is now official along with all cheers for you - the graduate.

Shutterbugs
Back in the day when the camera was new
people were thrilled with what they could do
To take a moment in time and save it forever
A completely marvelous thing to do –however
What moment in time should one chose to save
how many moments in time can one truly crave
some would save every moment if they could
if it didn’t cost so much or take all day they would
can’t save them all you can only save some
now the question of course is save which one
should it be- tell the truth
this one? the girl in big yellow hat.
or this one? with the fat crazy cat.
under compulsion you just never know
no big deal though it’s all just for show

Ogling Obama
A Brazilian women makes a beautiful wife,
She can make you forget your duties in life.
Obama’s mind boggled, he just stood and ogled;
At the pretty young delegate all dressed up in pink;
But its errors like these, a masculine tease,
Which can raise in the news a terrible stink.
Until now we believed, Frances President Sarkozy;
Was a contented male with his Carla so cosy.
Yet the shutterbugs present at the G8 summit,
Watched his stature so big, so easily plummet.
It goes to show, there’s one thing for sure.
The female figure is a terrific lure.
Whether you be president or a royal king?
You’ll still fall to temptation, seeing this sensuous thing.
