Shortsightedness
8-10-2016

Many times, after thinking my adversary
Was another entity or individual

I have discovered that it was
The horse I had hobbled in my barn.

On hindsight
my eyesight
could be called narrowmindedness
due to periods of shortsightedness

Any stubbornness
or obsession is
called a one-track mind
due to my blind side

The myopia
and monomania
could be called intransigence
due to possible intolerance

My tendency to fixate
and over-concentrate
could be called constricted vision
definitely a form of tunnel vision

No I am not proud of this
all character defects I wish
would never come to light
but I must continue to fight

Excuses For 'Dick-Ta-Tor-Ship' - the Short Man Syndrome

Height is not an issue
But today I got introduced to a nasty verbal stew
It was this one bullish kind of comment
Of odium and torment

Initially I thought, it was human nature
Coming from a relative who is short in stature
The tyrant venting with a curse
A sheer case of moral shortsightedness

‘Conquer the whole world and lose your own soul’
Egoistic pride becoming his ultimate goal
I wish He could really be a mentor
For when there is troubling waters, he steers the young to the shore

His ignorance makes me very very angry
I pray that of this treacherous plot, I am set free
If I were not 'born again' in Christ and he were a watermelon
I swear my words would have been a sharp knife and his mouth a cracked gallon

Spider-man, he definitely is not
Being a woman, I Wonder why he insists on making Fijian ‘lovo’ in a foreign pot
My family counselor said ‘it is the short man's syndrome’
********! Sheer ignorance; fact is, from childhood, he hasn't mentally grown.

The Stirrings of a Bug

I have trodden many a creature under foot
A few, unbeknownst
The bug has an intolerably short life span
And shorter yet, under foot
Do I traipse out of spite or cruel wonder?
No, it is just my disregard and shortsightedness
For I have been trampled upon,
From creatures smaller than me
They stir upon me, feelings of a bug
A distant rumbling of thunder
As I count the seconds after seeing the flash
There is a heavy weight upon me
Imagine what is stirred in a bug

A Worthless Support

The sands of time has put us
in a
world apart.
Every phase of my existence
opens
the penultimate chapter of
your
inestimable worth.
For being true in my salt
My rejection nurture love
and care
For giving me eyes amidst my
shortsightedness
In my dark world; you gave
me light
For filling the
void when it was grassy and
wanted
wears;
The incalculable and
immeasurable lifting
structure you
gave
Held me up amidst the storm
You will forever remain in my
hall
of
praise.
A sister you are! ! !

On the High Ways

So speedy again on the high ways
Trees and shrubs glancing through my eyes
As if they were ever in motion
With this wireless whooping sound like a rumbling thunderstorm

I closely observed the backward race of nature
Only seen but by my shortsightedness
This seriously turned incongruous
With me feeling so strong a marathon with nature

See the trees and shrubs with projections
Like the strands that hold my kidneys in consanguinity
Like twinkling stars, the twinkling birds twinkled off my little retina
Still the trees whirr at me as the victor

Feeling the heartbeat of nature
I was totally engrossed and entangled in admiration
For the simple complexity of nature
For wow! Nature is being set on a pedestal
