for the first time I allowed the closed courtains.
I closed it,
without noticing it.
By that the sun still shines in stripes,
it will not leave burns or blindness,
but like that I won't get rested easily.

No worries they uttered
as the times streams by
The people don yari
Yes, they are irate
Everything don para
Plenty things don spoil
Yet they are still visionary
envisioning the now
to the coming years
Even as we are laden
with more burdens
reversing our journey
shortening our hopes
as we now live life
in bits and pieces

No mercy to the poor was shown,
only hard sentences given
Chained souls to the grindstone
Ghetto grief is accepted living,
hope shot dead by cold concern
Survival is a day-to-day thing
Revised history leaves a paper burn
... razed trail of abandoned factories
Modern plantation owners didn’t learn
Urban smoke cresting on the breeze,
smoldering oppression on the rise again
No reparation, no restitution, no relief
Uncertainty is the poor’s fickle friend,
but their closest companion is misery
Injustice, like a tide, keeps rolling in
Ruling class don’t wanna fess up and own,
their decisions such suffering do bring
Time weaving spindle’s on a rapid turn,
fashioning a cloth of shortened tranquility

Creeping morn's damp coats fen and fair
Shrouded pond exhales its steamy breath
a solitary crow observes the creeping cold
finished fields of golden rod wave and nod
beckoning yellow tailed corn, farmer's friend
ripe stalks stand, a season's offering
air is still, undecided rain or shine
languid warm memories of summer fun
blown away by change
crisp shortened days end before dark
blossoms, trees blush with fall's brush
wind shaken trees orphan their young
loosed leaves, whose days are numbered
lost, looking for a place to rest
whiffs, windrows scampering breeze blown
pungent reminder, yesterday's youthful glee
night scatters stars over changing skies
dawn surprises with frosted vision
overhead winged formations wheel, spiral
turn south, their frolicking days now near spent
the radiant belle has left the ball
weeping soft tears against my window pane.

There won't be any shortened bridges,Lord
I'll keep on loving him in pain
No more wave riding on endless seas
More of a parched throat love,Lord
That's what it will be
