Tribute To Connie Marcum Wong

She called me a friend even though we were ocean apart,
Her words were beautifully and skillfully crafted,
Genuine love permeated her chamber,
She loved the fragrant blossom of spring,
Autumn called her home.

Her poetry springs from inspiration. Her service merits admiration. She sees the hue of souls and hearts, speaks with hands, knows magic arts, loves the sea, rides the skies; Easily she cries! A lovely dame, and Connie is her name.

Connie Marcum Wong

An Angel loaned from Heaven,
roamed this Earth, as if on mission,
lifting up spirits, the kindest among us,
oh Bless You mystical being ~
the Lord couldn't wait to have you back.

Premium Member Wong Road Taken

(With apologies to Robert Frost)

Four feet to the sky, he lay
in an attitude of surrender
confessing his sins
of hunger, of greed
of slavery to his quest
for surprise, for enchantment
around the next bend.

The Armadillo found
that life sometimes slings
death and destruction
and the road not taken
would have been the right one
had he known.

Premium Member Connie- Tribute To Her Support

Her comments on my poems went beyond words of support she left for me to read- and mattered not if likewise, I'd respond. Her goal was to encourage- spur my need to write- her gift from our poetic bond. September 26, 2022 Contest: Short Connie Tributes- How Did Connie Marcum Wong Inspire You Sponsor: Andrea Dietrich

Connie Marcum Wong

     Connie Marcum Wong! Super strong!
We held like minded personality and interacted beyond poetry-soup arena.
I relished and honoured her every comment touching core of heart.
An emotional bond had tied us though without any scope to meet.
I love and admire her all along.

Connie Marcum Wong

My dear friend Connie Marcum Wong planted a rainbow tree
Under Luna's night she wrote a God's Kind Of Poetry
                              Embracing mother Earth she stood
In life's garden- bird in a wood
Laid golden eggs in silver beds for all of us for free

Premium Member Hands On - Hands Off For Connie Marcum Wong

Dear Connie advised hands on healing My husband thought this so appealing I said hands off my chest I can heal my own breast With a flea in his ear he’s reeling! Connie is a reiki practitioner and has been sending me distance healing. She advised me to do 'hands on healing' to help with my breast haematoma and I know it is working and the lump is getting smaller. Three nights this week I have had the most intense purple colour when I close my eyes 2/11/18

Premium Member Tribute To Connie Marcum Wong

I dream of the Ganges, and her gentle cleansing flow…and the Island Spirit with palm trees swaying, egrets on salty air, hula hips at moonrise and exotic mai tais. Motherhood, caves and caverns, enchanted forests. I latch onto her adventurous flora of fantasy and sentimentality. Riveting reverberations of a souper poet, Connie Marcum Wong, a kindred spirit.
