Le Monde a L'Envers

Le monde à l'envers,
Où tout le monde peut voir,
Que le ciel est ici, vivant,
Dans la ville de mes rêves.

The world upside down,
Where everyone can see,
That heaven is here, alive,
In the city of my dreams.

Benny was a high living’ bon vivant
Who ran around with his crazy old aunt
They traveled many countries afar
Playing Spanish flamenco guitar
Until she married a man named Ben Brandt

Pieces Froides ------ Cold Pieces

Étoile,

Mon coeur ardent,

Ne meurent pas,

Pas maintenant...

Je suis vivant!

Je suis entier!

Ne casse pas...

Ma seule lumière.

Mon amour;

Qui a...

Pour la première fois,

Déchiré,

En pièces froides.

A
pageant
unveiling
before our eyes,
the
yearly
calendar
revolves month by
month,
as
winter
welcomes spring,
summer beckons
fall-
we
tick off
a birthday,
closer to the
grave.

Inspired by Christina Rossetti's The Months/A Pageant

Fluting

Time unleashed from ferrum
becomes pain
like a palm moon.

A tableau vivant was gliding
on the road.
It was a night of rage.

A frozen scene
undulates the history of fire
in the eyes of a flute.

Who was breaking
the clouds
wading in reeds ?

Just “Gimmie” a Casserole By: Tom 12-2-2019 I could never be thought of as bon vivant guy, I prefer plain “vittles” that will stick to a rib. Most fancy dishes I allow to pass my plate by, and I never eat things that require a bib.

he was
a bon vivant
not denying himself
any luxuries in life
did not believe
in abstinence

live to the fullest
was his motto
appreciate
the gifts of life
we will never
pass this way again

when he died
a starving artist
his pockets
were empty
but his heart
overflowed
not one regret

Perspectives

Solitude
loves
parties
balls
bars
but
alone...

beauty
there is
on here
there
is at
any
place
just look with eyes to perceive
and feel...

winds
blow
smells
poets
sprinkle
dreams; ...

crowd
is where solitary people
most
feel
solitude

the splendid side of living,
it's always bon vivant

paradise
there is
where
there is
on here
 and there...

present
it's life
future
is
march
