Short Poem Things That Last By: miracle man 1/4/2021 Precious things aren’t built or bought, but originate from within one’s self. A kiss or affectionate touch unsought, is beyond items found on a dusty shelf.

Mean
Tones of depreciation eject forth estuaries of spittle
Causing unsought billows of panic
Why can’t society be more appreciative
Instead of dejecting them
And divesting them of criticism
Communication is significant
Yet people omit it’s qualities...

Premium Member My Visionary Realm
In my Visionary realm I find, Rhythmic thoughts, Bouncing inside my head. I must choose to release, or refrain, For each is lusting to be heard. Tediously, I've left behind, Those most unsought. Whilst preferring instead, in un-swept neural pathways they remain, As minuscule thoughts, not words.

Wings of Light
Why then poetry …
why not prose
the answer prescient
to those who know

On wings of light
it comes unsought
abrupting time
on breezes caught

Why then poetry …
the world in verse
within whose lines
the Bards converse

The oldest questions
age sublime
within its torrent
—within its rhyme

(Dreamsleep: June, 2023)...

Bless the Lucky
Some people are meant to be happy
I am not one of the lucky
For I slip through life not unloved,
But unsought
A sponge wrung out by the sun
Yet the greatest tragedy of all
Is not the absence of belonging
Though that I still breath
And roam through moments
Instead of sleeping in the cold ground
Shielded by maggots and worms
Held by the dirt forever...

The Merchant's Lady Ii
We know not of that Woman,
though ‘tis known that for years
she has begged for death.

what marred such a creature?
unsought furtherance,
everlasting atrocity,

or a centaur,
agog martyrs and honor,

‘tis certain that,
once the castles are built,
their emperors,

though drunk on sex,
and branded by adulation,
shall ascend.

but does fame bespeak
an eternity of pandemonium?
Perchance....

Premium Member Remembering
Remembering (scars and how you got them) By: Miracle Man 1-8-2020 Man cannot see what lies in store, So ore past days, in thought, we pore. We relive things as eyes grow dim, Now fraught by pain and frail of limb. The things once done in work or play, Now lie slumbered in a previous day. We resurrect occurrences only in thought, And tally scars that were unsought.

Premium Member Criticism
Criticism Written: by Miracle Man 5/28/2020 It’s often unsought and seldom fun, and critique is rejected if harshly spoken. Because words once spoken can’t be undone, they often leave our vanity broken. Self examination is what criticism is forcing, by failing to listen our growth is small. It doesn’t mean we agree and endorsing, flattering attempts intended to enthrall.

To kindle love latent within
You have no time, time’s not with us,
Still, love aught be brought back with us.

Let not time rob our love in life,
Nor spill the pot of love with us.

Forgotten we have naught with time,
Nor yet has time caught up with us.

Let’s give it a go, make it work,
Let’s find that missing dot with us,

And kindle love latent within,
Seek what was long unsought in us.

Bad Compass
Locomotion to location,
destination unspoken, unsought.
But you knew,
who knew.
Beneath the opposable
with benefits, a mock assurance.
Finally exposed
beneath a wing.
She is harbinger and harvester,
gnawing, undermining a foundation.
Her self belief
deathly evident.
An induced epiphany
with drip-feed stealth coercion.
Now self aware
to purchase life.

In permanent daylight
he assumes solar nourishment.
No longer frantic....
