she orchestrates storms her air - which we deplete - she turns against us feeling ungrounded - she quakes inside ancient bones. . . we feel her pain water fills her veins from oceanic wounds. . . . she bleeds tsunamis with red hot passion she is seething at her core. . . . fire will be our death Written by Andrea Dietrich For PD's NATURE THE DESTROYER *HAIKU FORM ONLY* Poetry Contest

Agreed
If love calls for me
and tells me words you say bear tears
I'd fend the fear
that melts those words,
until your sense
with me
agrees

If time defaced our vows,
and closed those doors
with sounds of life awash
with these fears
With our ungrounded tears
We would charm a distant well
without a cent...
for faith you lost in me
agrees

If silky goodbyes
crown a gilt-edged pledge with grief
I'd resign
all thoughts of guided fate
Cause then...
no tear with fear
agrees...

Moment of Release
This kite electric
tangled in the power lines
tattered silk like paper skins
of dyed and colored onion rinds
With salty satin stains
flapping in the ocean air
it once held tight a child's hand
tingling knuckles white and bare
Updraft caught and carried
jangling raw up on the wires
electric now ungrounded
white heat lightning fuel tipped fires
Now it begs release
from the metal to the sky
With my own eyes as witness
sparks reach out to catch it fly....

I Beseech You
Show me mercy, for I am weak
a wounded bird, pity I seek
unable to take flight, grounded
please stop me from being hounded
Listen to my pleading, I'm meek,

I lay here, life surely looks bleak
looking into my deaths mystique
evil everywhere, surrounded
show me mercy,

observe inner soul not physique
a living creature, I'm no freak
unwillingness is unfounded
non actions would be ungrounded
be loving, helpful, no critique
show me mercy.
