I Beseech You

Show me mercy, for I am weak
a wounded bird, pity I seek
unable to take flight, grounded
please stop me from being hounded
Listen to my pleading, I'm meek,

I lay here, life surely looks bleak
looking into my deaths mystique
evil everywhere, surrounded
show me mercy,

observe inner soul not physique
a living creature, I'm no freak
unwillingness is unfounded
non actions would be ungrounded
be loving, helpful, no critique
show me mercy.

Wow Roy an awesome write. Your pain is palpable. Your poem is deeply emotional, an intimate look into your dark thoughts and feeling, an intimate plea, show me mercy.., such heartfelt heartache. I love your effective title as well. Good luck in the contest!
