Sijo Ballet
Ladies upon a stage which are dressed in feminine style
Gracefully in a row, they flow as a troupe dancing the ballet
I am sure those ladies had many ingrown toenails and cramps....

WORDSLINGERS

Wordslingers dabbling in alphabet soup
cohorts assembled Limericks as a troupe
instead of their blades
they’ve taken up spades
to challenge the reigning “Queen of the Poop”

Into the Soup
Come into the soup
my wordy friend coaxed
you'll really like it there

They are quite a group
these poet-type folks -
creative thoughts and flair

I peeked at the troupe
the world each invokes
and finally took his dare...

Rock Song
Young, people of the troupe members had to say
Poetry is a sin in Narcissus
Rock song is more problem than that
Another person of the theater company member
Poetry is an escape from self
The sun and the rock are the problems
There is a thing that can make a shadow there
It is an eternal problem...

Wait-Ive Got One Ive Got One--
so this one time i was just at home with my friends
and we just decided that we would pretend
that our group was no group
but a theater troupe
and we got up and made up a play

we danced and we sang
and we laughed like a gang
of sailors do when they drink
we sat on the floor
and we thought up some more
little skits just to do when we're bored...

Pink
The man was in pink
Bent over the sink
Pink pants quite tight
Oh my what a sight!

His face a flush
Quite bright the blush
So loud the cough
Huff puff and scoff!

The people did wink
On the floor his mink
His Versace from Karachi
And hat like mariachi

Six more appeared
All similarly geared
Alas what a group
So very gay, this troupe!...

Premium Member She Danced In Honor of Daddy
she took a breath thinking of her child self
the lights compelled her to begin
she danced as well as any prima donna
appreciative applause for her troupe well-earned

her daddy was finally getting to watch
his baby girl show off her intense prowess
for angels do not have maladies like blindness right?
She danced in his honor, loving the nod she received from heaven....

“Geeves, would you happen to know the answer
About the noise that sounds like a dancer”
‘Well sir, see that whoop
Was not a dance troupe
Coz In fact it was those hungry ants, sir’

“Geeves, there’s nothing chewing up my dresser”
‘I’m sorry, but that was my best guess, sir’
“Geeves, I’d bet my life
You’re fondling my wife
Because she dances when you undress her”

Terpsichore Torment
Delightfully dancing delicate doppio,
twirling the twisted turns.
Staccato steps, softly sublime
Reaching rich rapture.

Pausing, pondering performance parameters
Considering critical, controversial clash
Taking time to tackle the tearful troupe
Before breaking buoyant babble

Wizen words, woefully wrapped,
delivered. Deadening delirious delight.
Seeking solace; silent sobs slip softly....

Oh..without approval, we think we shall
all but die..
Thus, writing comments, till sunrise is
just about all night?

A backslapping poetic troupe some be.
When did the Creator say,” honor each
poet, far more than me? “

These poets, are but Avatars that you
breathed life into.
You know them not, nor do they know you.
A mythical relationship in a poetry zoo!

Premium Member A Vicious Pink
A flamboyance gathered at the lagoon.
Wading patiently for their briny food.
The sun arrived to gently wake the earth.
A warmth commenced to break night's curse...
All was quiet until the blue troupe stealthily arrived.
With blood and devils in their eyes...
The stalk quickly evolved into chase.
For its the will of brutes to
snap the neck of grace...
A baboon king proudly struts about.
pink feathers lining its vicious mouth....

Grand Old Flag
Freedom and our Flag

For those who never knew freedom.

My heart cries out in vein.

The cries of a dying nation going in sane.

Pitted against each other mud slings both ways.

The Statue of Liberty crying as clearly we lost our way.

There is the grand old flag waving proudly in the wind. Serving us with honor to provide and pave the new way again.

Rallying the troupe to serve proudly to protect our freedom with their lives....

Invoke iced ink
Observe oil ooze
Noxious new noose

Roast ripe resolve

Premium Member To What End
Beyond space time
We heavenward climb
In the realm of light
Love and clear sight
Among our peers
Enlightened seers
Being our soul group
Marching as one troupe
Yet we choose earth life
Sorrow, struggle, strife
With memory erased
By myriad illusions dazed
Until we again align
With love pulsations divine
And then only stand erect
Luminous and perfect

Why do we do all this
To reclaim innate bliss
Remains a deep mystery
As we rewrite history...

Huffle Winks
The tiny dragons dance aloft
whilst dragonflies soar amuck
They dance over the lake, over the lake they waft

The huffle-winks peer from the muck
At the bright flittering troupe
Dancing over the water, dancing by the brush

Those dancing dragons, how they swoop!
The water ripples under
They spin, twirl and dive, such an acrobatic group

Huffle-winks leap to the flutter
Dancing over the dark lake
Prancing glad with the rest, 'til, alas, it's over...

Poetry Soup: a place to ease
out soothing lines that tickle, tease
ears tuned to hear the world in verse,
to invite others in, immerse,
respecting all who craft and hone,
yes, even views unlike our own.

Support, encourage, walk beside
one merry band of bards in stride,
unlikely fellows all, this troupe:
pursuing fragrant, tasty soup.

Please Dont Shoot Us
They gathered as a freezing group
To plead with the sharp-shooting troop
Not to even around them snoop.
Their murderous wings not flutter but droop
For being, all affable chicks in a coop:
A working class from The South Loop
Travelling with a fun-loving troupe
And an athlete draped in his whoop…

A tears-unlocking “Please, Don’t shoot us!”
By the just-discharged from their bus
Willing to all cough out from their purse
Rather than be sent to sleep or a nurse....

When All the Humans Are Gone
One day,
When books turn to dust
Aliens will wonder
What happened to us

Our computers will look
Like oversized paperweights
With no way to access
The knowledge encased

Especially the poets
On poetrysoup
They would miss out
On this literary troupe

Of like-minded poets
Who write from their souls
Pouring their hearts and emotions
Into their bowls

No soup for the aliens
They will have to make do
With wondering why
Our world is in ruins

Get Well P.D.!...
