The Garden Trader
The Honeybees all gather...
Without an estimate--or chart--
And peruse the garden gracefully,
And give the rose its start.

And exchanging their sweet nectar--
As a rare commodity--
Trade stocks of yellow orchards--
Absent any trading fee!...

The Art
The artist curls her hair.

splashes the color with a lot of care,

she has to be fair,

and fashion should be in a simple manner,

the painting is then thrown to a rich trader,

so the painter has profited.

Not knowing whose hands it is onto,

but the owner is sure it is out of the lobby once he is bored....

I Am a Broom Trader
Stumble you get in treading the path of life
Or you may get your steps upon dirt
And inside develop a spot, a dot,
A scratch even a crack
To remove them you may try
Collins, wheels, Nirma or acids
But they will not get out
In this case I may help you
I am a trader
I sell broom of forgiveness
Buy to use it and see how they are gone with a swipe....

There was a young woman named “Anna”
who spoke to her sister named “Hannah”.
“Anna” said “You’re a good “mum”
and maybe I’m just a “nun”,
but “sis”, I’m no second banana!”

Then “Anna” asked what is a “rotator”?
Does it “refer” to a ventilator?
Said a young “dad” named Adam
I really don’t know, “madam”;
“Don’t nod” at me, I’m just a parts trader....

The Soak of a Horse Trader
And it rains everyday since I arrived
Stockport Rain
in the soak of leaves
and in the breeze
in the grasses and reeds
and spilling city light
Where you live
mending to be free
You Live life Like a horse trader
Wont someone listen
I need someone to talk to
and no one will spare me the time
I am seeing your silences in your retrisence
And it rains every day since I arrived...

My Roll Top Desk - Revised
This desk of mine is solid oak
And it’s forty-two inches wide
The sliding top has many slats
So that up and down, it slides

For certain is a real antique
Of a hundred years; probably more
Old Trader Joe found it for me
Sitting on the “Odd Fellows” floor

This old desk is such a beauty
Took a lot of work to restore
It has a lifetime of memories
I keep them safe inside the drawers...

The Thief
One day, a petty thief
Stole a piece of bread.
She dashed away in a spiff
“Stop her!”, the trader yelled.

Along came a couple who,
Upon hearing the trader’s shout,
Broke into a run too
Until they grabbed the thief by her snout.

Then came a policeman,
Who saw the angry mob holding the criminal
He said: “Off to the cooling can
We go.” The bread in hand, pieces of it in his dentals....

Just For Looking At
A black powder 1868 colt revolver.
Dad’s rusty Buck knife.
A few old Zippo lighters.
Ivory figurines haggled over
with an illicit trader in Shanghai,
same for a two hundred year old
silk rug never trod upon.
A tin box with a broken clasp
containing some things
I cannot now speak of.
A few other keepsakes
that when I look at them
remind me of how I got here,
and how I sometimes
lost my place....

Narcissism

Oh, there are so many bad definitions
Narcissism is not an egoism or selfishness
Ask please Salvadore Dali, the painter
Condemning false ascertainment, it’s love
lifestyle, a style, what gives a protection
Help others, create new things here and there

And, and
the Love
Be health
and, and
Feel well

A waiter
A broker
A trader
An actor
An artist
Must be
magnetic,
good looking
for positive
feedback.

Life After the War
Spread your cherries
be brave; when a man
calls you:
Do the right thing (but have your
Loaded 45 to hand)

Check first his credit;
Does he have lightship
Standing?
Is he a trader?…do terms
Apply?

As an inter-stellar prostitiute
Working for peace, you know
You will be protected

Do the right thing:
What else is there?
Let’s face it; you come
With the apartment.

Dulce est decorum est

(With apologies to Wilfred Owen)...

Ramblings of a Confused Tree Hugger Part 11
I walked to work to day
it was snowing hard
I walked the road this time
hoping to find you
I was thinking
 your carcass would be
laying there
on the side of the road
vulture food
food for the worms and maggots
I walked all the way to work
in the snow
I could hardly see
so maybe I missed you
I stopped by the store
bought another bottle
bought the Trader too
I was thinking I would build something
for you
to live in when you came back....

That Old King Mammon
The sound of shoes within the malls
Reflects a time of honoured halls
Where Knights and ladies in bright attire
Would cross the floor to royalty higher
Yet the sound of shoes in mirrored malls
Pass by halls of trader stalls
Of royalty paid more than honour
Of manikin displaying the royalty upon her
Where halls are made for old King Mammon
And footsteps tap out praise upon
For royalty is bought not handed down
And museums displays a dusty crown...

Timorous & Amorous
She was timorous,

and I was amorous,

she was this and more,

and I was dead sure,

I do not know how I got fixated,

because I have seldom done,

she was perhaps that breed,

so rare,

that you do really care,

all was fine,

and I had begun to pine,

then all went in dump,

my shoulders slumped,

eyes drooped,

and nostrils scooped,

that the trader,

quoted such fare,

for that high bred mare,

that I fled,

away bill and tare....

My desk is made of solid oak
It’s forty-two inches wide
The top is made with many slats
Up and down, they can slide

For certain is a real antique
Of a hundred years or more
Old Trader Joe got it for me
Right off the “Odd Fellows” floor

My wife and I sanded it smooth
After we had stripped it clean
Applied and rubbed the finish in
You wouldn’t believe the sheen

My desk is such a beauty
No other could please me more
It has a lifetime of memories
I keep inside the drawers...

Authoritarian DonaldJohn
authoritatively, yet irresponsibly,
declares the U.S. has the worst trade deal
in all of colonizing history.

I suppose
under his free autocratic authority
to re-interpret historic wealth
we were better off
exporting domestic booze and guns
in exchange for domesticated slaves.

Those good old GoldenRulership days
when only white male trader lives
authoritatively mattered.

Reminders
The opposite of historical integrity
is anti-multicultural mendacity...
