Box

In my heart holds a box.
Where Dreams have no limits
and hopes keep you on top.
souls are un touchable
and freedom has no cost.

Frozen In Cyrstalline Number 7

The moon so close it was touchable,
framed mid the snow clad ancient trees.

Girasole

i found a field
of our favorite
color standing
so tall but not
touchable

i didn't have
a ladder but
rather an
admirer's
view

and the birds agreed
taking from seed
each and each
part of us til
bleached

left
bare
naked
crucified
on a cross

California Girl Complaints

Only snows up there
in the mountains, distantly
horizon's mirage

Hypothetically
we could drive all the way there
but gas costs too much

So they just sit there
like un-touchable artwork
beyond the cities

I've gone there before
trips in California snow
a long time ago

The Easel Tower

With closed eyes I lay back naked to surroundings and noise, escape. Pencil inside
the soft grip a slide show of mind displays beauty, I see each mole, scar, shine and
blemish as though touchable live flesh. Knowing the lids of my eyes and mind as the
creator and opening my eyes will erase the art. I choose to sit in darkness.

Believe

There are things I see, but are not written. And there are things I heard, but are not sound. Yet I believe. There are things I can touch, but are not touchable. Yet I understand the round. Yet I believe. I see you and I know you are there. Yet I believe. You will come, like the light in the stars. Yet I believe. Yet I believe.

Smoothing the Jagged Edge

Living on the jagged edge,
The slippery slope of not enough,
Only touching solid ground
In the moment after midnight,
In the flicker of a nightlight,
In the shadow of a dream
Lies the ghost of a chance
For existence to be real,
Solid, touchable,
True.
The jagged edge smoothed over
The slippery slope
Gripped tight;
Hint of hope, shade of a secret
Key to the doorway
Of maybe, possibly,
More.

Snow, My First

Snow, My First

I laughed all the way.
It was so cold.
The man said, eight below with the wind.
I don’t think I needed to hear that.
But I was mesmerized by the reality of it.

Tiny perfect flakes, fell.
First on the windshield, then you stopped the car.
We got out. My face to heaven, I knew…
What it was to see miracles, perfect miracles…
Like stars in the sky at night,
Only these,
Broad daylight… (Wow!), and touchable.

Pain

Imagine a pain
As touchable as rain?
Imagine the lies and confusion
I played with slow motion

Did'nt see it coming
until it hits me like a lightning
I can still hear your voice
As strong as thunder noise

Now,the time has come
I got nowhere to run-
Slowly I realize, every game of life
has it's prize

Today,I'm losing my sanity,
my pride, wisdom and vanity
I know I hurt you I'm sorry
but I cannot redeem my soul
I must walk away-

The Girl With the Flaxen Hair

A lifetime passes
but she lives on, touchable now
only with mind-beams.

Walking through a cornfield together
seems like Elysium.
Imagination fills in the blanks,
her hand in mine
leads to a future memory.

That cornfield, that soft sunlight
its all smolder and smoke now,
but she is invulnerable.
She has moved to a place
just ahead of my eyes.

I see her in new yellow robes;
the dazzle of her,
waving
between the suns fading rays.

Regret and Fear

I remain too afraid of hurt again,
so allowing it so many times,
I can't possibly feel it any-more,
left cold, painless.... totally touchable!

I live through the past, building a wall
in which I find minimal pain, thought or fear.
To show that pain would be losing again.

adding:-

' I can only be hurt again as long as I allow it
  and I won't, I simply can't. '

The regret and fear has already hit me :-

Regret for the past....
Fear for the future....

Veni Creator Hominis

Might it be touchable?
This fancied clay between my hands
that I would twist and bend
and in a sometime moment,
manifest desire?

If, indeed its authenticity
is now confirmed in passion to create,
its own self will blend
between the fingers of my mind--
and only at its most illusive
feign default, and fail to coalesce.

I shall see it,
breathe it in my nostrils,
shape it as a mirrored act of God,
and fall upon my face in terror--
at success.

OPEN FORM VERSE

a poem
       is
touchable
           &mute
silent
   as a stone
        where moss grows
beautiful
     as birds at dawn
singing &chirping
                 motionless
as the moon above
           dangling in time
speaking of
   tangled forests
&autumn leaves in red
         &yellow drifting
       a poem
is an open doorway
                to step through
have a heartbeat
                    &soul
a poem
      should just be
