Painstaking regrets shown on stage
Pangs of depression cling to me like the Pirates of the Caribbean monkey 
Iris turns blue...the pupils of many decrease in size
Never felt so much pride and happiness 
Grasp vast grace...

such a shame on you 
liking glamour honour and favour just for weddings
and there the colourist painters
anaemic thoughts let us not be paralysed by our difference
like in the aeroplanes above
we do both now travel

Let's honour them in rhymes,
Now in the vault of the unleashed,
Their courage released,
For the job, they were the right men,
The flower of past generations,
People to treasure, through the ages,
In theatres of combat, such stages,
Designer beers wanted here,
On Anzac Day, we give them silent cheers....

commercials now, then movies
far; soon your name will shine 
above, theatres grand and 
TV’s glove.

When they shout, for autograph,
now a wealthy man’s sure path.

Bells your fingers, rings your nose, 
twenty million a picture (it shows)

Friends forgotten, family gone, once 
their little star just shone; but now 
there’s only time for work; big star 
pay, but  little jerk....

There would be chit chat 
on the telephones and I-Pads
When family comes over chit chat
is heard
Lots of lots of face to face chatting

We would be reading 
more books
Enjoying the theatres
To watch movies
The telephone would be
used more
listening to conversation
Chatting for long hours
of our news of the day

Just a thought I had
Without computers
There would be nowhere 
To create our poetry
there...
