Northlink
Skyline of rowed houses
Rolls past and
So do the greys of labour,
Conservative and otherwise
Are boarded on the decks of
Oil tankers; hollow
Hulking HMS something
Sleeps in the docks
Of the town once red
Now muddy brown
And sick,
Labour wise and

Armed Forces At War
The stars are brite

    The stripes are shinny

    The ground is rough

     Thier riffles are noisy

     The buildings are fallen down

      The tankers are in control

      The ships are on target

      The planes are flying low

      Looking forward of returning home

      with loving hearts.

keep them from my forge
in keeping yourself safe!
I am of the two worlds?...

Full Measure
Eight ounces in a coffee cup
Sixteen ounces in a pound
Both of these are things that you
Can wrap your mind around

Super-tankers plying the seas
Hold millions of gallons of oil
And weeks and years is how we see
Our lives and the time that we toil

Sixty seconds in a minute
Twenty-four hours in a day
Everything we know and have
Is measured in this way

We can quantify everything we know,
But if I might be so bold
Is there anyone that can tell me
How much love a heart can hold?...
