Loving spirit sets us all free....

Not so sure cynosure
surrounded by an
entourage of well paid
admirers.
Circus whore
performing tricks
for those who
worship costumed
beauty.
Underscored cynosure
frail ego’s faults
magnified
on stadium screens,
lip syncing a
voiceless lie.
Dinosaur cynosure
too soon afraid
of ageing
too late to savor
youth.

MOONLIGHTING

swaddled by the stars,
moonlight swaying.
obeying sandswept eyes
and yawns of sleep.

dreams appearing
in seraphic shadows,
lighting up the inner room —
anamnesis of sunlight breadth.

drilling of the hands
and feet in repetition —
knitting needles syncing, lips
rehearsing the alphabet.

dot to dot of neuron hours
handsomely pieced
in gigantic looms. pillow
cosseting psychic depth.

take a slow sweet breath...
let it carry you away.

Sink into your senses,
as the rain beats down...
cold crisp invigorating.

Come closer tip to tip,
hand to hand...
let the embrace take you.

Heart to heart,
syncing to a steady rhythm...
one moment; lost to space and time.

Revel within that moment,
clarity of the deepest mysteries...
dawning as if seeing, hearing, feeling;
for the first time....

I want to be a writer -
and like a new poker player -
I'm starting to evaluate my cards.

I post on several poetry sites 
I find syncing them kinda hard.

'Cause I'm the model of imperfection
heck, I'm the Edison of mistakes -
a teenager half-heartedly committed
to doing whatever it takes.

Does it help that I'm never happy?
That I constantly make updates?

At times I feel the proverbial cat 
chasing its own tail -
but I think I'm making progress
