The temple of Venus of Imperial Rome has withstood time,
it has also captured many poets making verses of rhyme;
the MYSTERIOUS temple was once adorned with thyme,
it still stands in a landscape of TRANQUILITY so sublime.
Venus was an ANCIENT deity as VENERABLE as springtime,
now she's a phantom in a temple that lures clowns that mime...
it had that SYLVAN charm without the ugliness of urban grime.

Lazily waving in the brisk morning air;
Tranquility of a sylvan setting so strikingly rare.
Flailing her arms like the great timberland bear;
This venerable statesman which none can compare.

A mighty conifer standing in the woodland foursquare,
As mysterious and perplexing as the elusive sea hare.
Ancestral descendants of ancient forebears,
Standing at arms, trespassers beware.
