Told
if i need to
tell you to
kiss me
then we
aren't
heart
felt

wanting
to only
lonely
be my
self
so
i

release
taken off
my leash
no more
renting
wanting
to own

but not to
have you
but for you
to have me
as we listen
to the Stooges
"I Want to be Your Dog"...

The Poet Destroyer is a three headed monster,
each head with its own personality.
I call these little monsters The Three Stooges,
but their actual names are Irma, Sid and Royal Royally.

I don't actually know if the above is true.
The ryhme just popped in my head and I shared it with all of you....

Premium Member A Song the Gorilla Sang To Me
Gorilla My Dreams sang me a moody torch song with these lyrics:

Why does your soul feel like a hole
Wherein a mole used to hide
Why does your heart fall all apart
It will not start deep inside.

Why won't somebody make my hot toddy
Oh lawdy lawdy, oh no
Why is it scary here on the ferry
With Curley Larry and Moe....

Of a Raven Wrote Edgar Poe
Of a raven wrote Edgar Poe
That came but would never go
  From its perch upon Pallas
  Cuz it liked watching Dallas
On the TV picture show.

Alternate, sillier version:

Of a raven wrote Edgar Poe
That came but would never go,
Whilst it dreamt of its Muses,
  Two of The Stooges;
Of Larry and of Curly but never Moe....

The Very Talented Moe
(Dedicated to Moe Howard who died May 4, 1975.)

He had black hair, he was short and his name was Moe.
He loved to slap and poke Larry, Curly and Joe.
I've seen most of the shows he was in.
Moe and the other stooges were very funny men.
1975 was a sad year because God decided that it was time for him to go.
I'm talking about the unique and talented performer named Moe....

Premium Member Hail To Rock and Roll
My favorite time span, the sixties’s of course. When blues and soul, and rock and roll combined to give us Isaac Hayes and Nat King Cole, and Elvis sings across the land. Boston Pops on stage and the three stooges a rage. I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could see Grateful Dead, or catch Cher on the scene, revisit Tiny Tim’s obscene, get into Melanie’s head, I would, surely would. May 24 2011 For Nette's contest

Joe Besser
This wonderful man was a stooge many years ago.
He starred in the Three Stooges and his name was Joe.
Joe didn't like to be hit by fists or with pies.
He was a great comedian and that's no lie.
Sadly he died in March of 1988.
A date that his fans would hate.
He outlived Moe and Larry by thirteen years.
People laughed every time he appeared.
He may be dead but he can never be replaced.
This funny man was a credit to the human race.

(DEDICATED TO JOE BESSER WHO DIED MARCH 1, 1988.)...
