Saw a Stark Stork In New York

Saw A Stark Stork Statue In New York

Remember when we were in New York,
Did see some statue carved out of cork;
Had big doubt;
Wondered about;
Guess what to our surprise was a stork.

we bow down to hearts exalted helping souls to be uplifted that we may rise, become as He there are no others; all is we all are one; none may be faulted 21-July-2021

The Stark Truth of the World

Your wildlife is slowly tamed.
For wisdom to be attained.

The gold that we have searched for.
Has been waiting at our door.

The stark truth of the world,
will slowly be unfurled.

That we will settle like the dust,
to either burnout or to rust!

Stark Reality

As nights draw in, the silver harvest moon
Shines boldly through defenceless, naked trees
And pirouetting leaves will settle soon,
For winter’s riding on the autumn breeze.

Blend Away the Stark Edges

Drawing and life are similar
The edges in a drawing are blended away
The tight edges in life soften with time
We love more, and see our fraility more
With blessed time, time we are given
Time to know our edges are soft
Time to know we need a loving redeemer
Time for faith to grow deep
Thanksgiving grows with a deep faith.

James Stark,
    Card Shark.

    Loved Jan,
    And Fran.

   Couldn’t Choose,
       Nor Loose.

       He’d Sigh
       Then Lie

        Now Gals,
        Are Pals.

       He Has,
       No Class.

       Huge Stye,
       Black Eye.

        Said Bye,
        Bad Guy.

Mark of a Stark Monarch

in world made her mark
with humor and sometimes stark
an amusing monarch

about queen we fear
had been dear both far and near
is no longer here

new king will select
who we will love and respect
close with can connect

strong and is regal
like an eccentric eagle
with corgi and beagle

seems to be so short
by marriage a queen consort
obtain our support

Premium Member Might Be a Stark Christmas

Santa and Mrs. Claus brought the Christmas train to Field’s
A young mother had sent her children in to see the toys.
They mentioned it was going to be a stark Christmas.
Their father had been killed in the war.
They had been warned not to expect much.
Santa and Mrs. Claus exchanged a look.
That year these children had a rather lovely Christmas.
It was the least they could do.

Stark

stark,
a feeling
froze my mind.
a void abyss
i am in trouble
my mind's a blank bubble
my pen's inking vague nothings
a memory slowly fading fast.
ah, my muse, when will this feeling last?
will i dreg again my buried past?
shall you leave me in misery?
o fickle one don't leave me.
free me from this nightmare.
do you really care?
the love we've shared
is it not
truly
real?

Stark Fiction

I know why the caged bird sings,
and why our phone always rings,
because of you.

I know why the sea is blue,
because it hasn't found anyone new.

I need shelter from the storm.
I wish it was warm.

I know why the sky turns black,
because it's never looked back.

Why do you always sit on the porch,
looking like a clockwork orange.

One Stark Trumpet Peals

One Stark Trumpet Peals

At eve, old melodies unwomb,
old ragings wake
as crones,
stringy hair unbunned,
creep downstairs
to supper on a loin.
As they feed,
their fingernails
roll back
and so they gravitate
or, better, crawl
toward the dawn,
for in the din
that eddies in each ear,
they can hear
one stark trumpet peal
as they creep
toward the sun
a final time,
drawn by
ancient echoings.

Body Language

Your lips smile sweetly,
But your eyes are so cold,
Your arms wrap around me,
                            Like a cage.
Your hand on my cheek,
                            In a slap so bold,
Your fingers on my neck,
                            Eyes hot with rage.
My face on your chest,
                            Suffocated in your hold,
Love binds my heart,
                            And I cannot disengage.

Premium Member A Stark Naked Pause

Listen to poem:
concerned about being upstaged the glorious blue tinted rock negotiated sent in the puffy white wisps to cover the vibrant coloured evergreens the brown field in the foreground felt offended wondering out loud "what about me?" then added "beauty you know is..." but never bothered to finish the cliché. for my part i was more interested in what the mountain had traded the clouds what could it possibly have offered?
