Sugar Beat
Flirting w/a monster
Speaking words sinister
Amber eyes gleaming
Until a wail screaming

Finger painting in condiments
Splicing forgotten remnants
Crawling on the other-side
Bumming for a ride

Spewing pastels all over
Waiting to recover
Plucking vapors
Watching fire tapper

Jumping in the driver seat
Trying to retreat
To that sweet beat
To that sugar beat....

Charming cut flower in a crystal vase of gilded gold
Displayed on an oak table with lace montage
Splicing and cutting a stunning debut
As life becomes a movie on the stage of attributes

Gorgeous, striking, splendid and pure
Climbing a velvet rope..I reach out to you
Alluring, captivating, enchanting in dream
A shower of light in radiant beams

Sad Dizain
Listen to poem:
Their wedding day was such a super day.
Splicing of two hearts in eternity
Heading to wedded bliss , spreading delight
No uncertainty it's fraternity
Love keeps sanity for posterity
Memory's stole and taken you away
Alzheimers gone forever and a day
Remember her until your dying day
Its a fresh hello each and every day
they will fall in love again each new day.

A smoothie barista's a thing?
Gadzooks, Batman,
why the
hype?
Fresh fruit, yogurt:
tangy,
ripe.
Ah, perfection -
that's my
type.

A Zeno is 8/4/2/1/4/2/1/4/2/1, with rhyme abcdefdghd
Zeno made me think of xenotype: any of two or more variations of the same material from two or more different species. For splicing genes, a fancy title is in order; for blueberries and bananas, not so much!...

Premium Member Nature's Morn
Raindrops dancing in the wind
Kiss soft buds betwixt the thorns
Roses drink while robins sing
Awake, they join in earth’s new song
Ushering spring, Mother Nature’s morn

Blades of grass stand tall and lean
Amongst the corn sowed in tender fields
They yearn for the warmth of golden sunbeams
Splicing through rain, increasing yield
Soft rain and brilliant rays in Nature’s wield

Smoke and Mirrors

Amid the flux
Of shimmering sound and vision
Someone is lying
Is it your eyes
Is it your ears
Is it those pulling the levers
And splicing the tapes
Or is it all of the above?

In the end
It’s not the lying that matters
Since that’s what senses
And people do
It’s the believing
That will get you in trouble
Every time.

Oh Canada
i celebrate having
met great poets
David and especially
Maureen both from
way up north but
not in the sense of
north that Johnny
Horton sung about
because his song was
about Alaska and i'm
writing about Canada

you gave us Michael
Myers not to be
confused with
Halloween movies
and Neil Young not
to be confused with
Neil Old from down
under but the
understatement of
all is the gene splicing
or mutation of genius

Norm McDonald...
