Reality Check
The Electoral College is fraud.
At it's best they take us hostage
Then pay our ransom in jest
This two-party-system
Disingenuous
Slithery snakes
Investing
In fear
Stock....

Premium Member Froggie Enjoys His Stogie
Froggie settled down right away in his delirious state
Enjoying his stogie, next to a slithery creature, a snake.
The rest of the swamp felt his demeanor calm down.
They loved the feeling they were feeling, relaxed all around....

Go
There we basked in Eden all aglow,

With no cares or worries and Eve in tow,

But the serpent spoke to her in his slithery way,

We ate the apple, so we could not stay,

The Lord spoke only one last word to us..."GO"!...

Premium Member Words
Silvery, slithery words
Where do they come from?
Hidden
In the well’s dankness
Arising willfully
Surprisingly
Unheedful of my reaction
Or yours
Molding the present
Spilling out of my mouth
Announcing themselves to the world
Often without telling me first...

Sweat
Sweat and the sea are salty
and alike.

A lazy man and a corpse
never sweat.

Mountaineers mount up the
slithery mounts.
Resistance yields, dissolving
in sweat.
Seeds sprout in the fallen beads,
life-drops.

Success floats in sweat, depositing
fresh joys.

Each victory in the history sparkles
through sweat.

Premium Member Creepy Witch
Creepy witch is as slithery and sneaky as a secretive snake.
The other witches give her a wide berth when she’s awake.
She only appears on Halloween every tenth year or so.
We truly do not know where she lurks, hides, or will go.

She slithers around as mysteriously menacing as a mouse.
We have followed her past more than one haunted house.
She always disappears before we turn the corner though.
We have no idea if she has ascended or gone way below....

No Man's Land
Avoiding me, I cannot quite seem to catch you,
You slithery fiend, in decision I choose to loathe you!
Fatigued as I am, I chase ever after,
Be gone my tired eyes and fade into the laughter,
Walking empty streets until the sun doth shine,
Until clouds beckon on a ribbon of yellow line,
The beauty that is doth captivate so,
An enemy, my timeless foe,
Never have we once been a friend,
But does it not depend?
I cannot survive without thee,
Until my dreams invade to set me free....

S trange is the way my mind hovers around, I don’t steer
T rapped within insecurity tangle I tread life in lurking fear
A t times I sense someone trails unseen, my mind strains
L ook for the person I find none, the eerie feeling remains
K nowing the fear won’t dissolve if I don’t face the stalker
E xplore I must I decide and encounter the mind wrecker
R esolve strong, in an impulse I look back in space hollow
S ee my strange mind stalking me in my slithery shadow.

Stealth and insidious
Slithery venomous viper
Creeping inside my brain
Uninvited and pervading
Vile contaminating poison
Infecting my fragile sanity
Dropping that black canvas
Of all consuming darkness
When I least expect it
Inflating guilt and shame
Grounding smothering
Clipping wings and victimizing
Stealth and insidious

HOW MUCH MORE

The ocean skies strike again
bathing the ground all day,
slithery and of polka leaves
crashed by wild and woolly,
wailing Western winds... Break!
Even the trees are trembling,
Rattling in silence scream
as their branchlets slowly fall.
The tweedles I heard are protests
as birds rush! Rush for shelter!
How much more is the man,
I saw in the street?
