Stealth and insidious Slithery venomous viper Creeping inside my brain Uninvited and pervading Vile contaminating poison Infecting my fragile sanity Dropping that black canvas Of all consuming darkness When I least expect it Inflating guilt and shame Grounding smothering Clipping wings and victimizing Stealth and insidious AP: 2nd place 2022, Honorable Mention 2021 Submitted on September 30, 2018 for contest REMEMBERING WHAT YOU WANT TO FORGET sponsored by KIM RODRIGUES
