shimmies up stairs
catches my eye
and ceasing its pursuit
stops so I can snap its soul
coiled and still
The words flow like a river
The voice shimmies
Rising and falling
In harmony with notes floating behind
Beat after beat after beat

Slipped on the slick rooftop
Santa plumpish chassis
Shimmies down the chimney
Soot prints on gifts under
Shimmering tinsel tree

Rushing through lusty August towards
A vault of blue, a longing promise.
It is like waiting for the visiting moon,
The day when the silver light shimmies past
My bedroom curtains, and I will look up
And I will feel the burning of the heart.
Mist will pour down from the Sun
And the same mist will fall from my mouth.
I will no longer be in need and
It will all sliver pass me.
The treetop glimmers outside my window
As light, dancing upon the leaflets -
Shimmies about in affable yellow.
My gaze can't help but be captivated
By light, pure and perfectly aglow.
In the wind, swaying charismatically -
Every leaf is twirled as a ballerina -
Playing with my fragile jealousy.
I think I hear an underlying viola -
Oh, light - would you dance with me?

Time has called me into account,
I’m a hostage of yesterday;
As today shimmies away,
I search pages forever departed,
And fantasize for a moment
Of the time and place of eternal peace;
Where exists no pain or disappointment
And no past;
Freed from fears and insecurities forever
That cloud earthly tomorrows;
The glide of the plane almost in step with my rooftop.
Visibility of blue heaven low; lookout for earthwalkers.
My bland Toyota euphoric and banded by tight forest.
The span of an angelic chorus, a serendipitous psalm.
The predilection of dawn, a tributary hawk sails on.
The silver cross shimmies and shakes reflected in mirror.
I steady it with my heartbeat, my smile, my faith.

Her sultry eyes make me quiver,
The way her skin feels, sends me to shiver;
How her dynamic curves bend straight through,
Helps create her attraction, with nothing to rue;
Water shimmies off her lustrous skin,
Permitting her image, a clear vision;
Her miraculous glance, deep and wide,
Enables her to see from the inside;
These traits make me want to be with her,
The combine to form her dramatic allure.

The worst day
To ever sprout
From the depths of Hade
Could not begin to express
How he made me feel.
Who would have guessed?
Sure,
He had follicles
That put even the most
Gorgeous
Flaming
Queen to shame.
And it’s true
I envies his
Soft,
Velvet smooth,
Shining skin.
I put my heart on the line
And to have it come back
With a letter of
Reject
I’m crushed,
Cold, and
Consumed with the dreams
Of the past.
Now, I watch
As he shimmies by
With his bedazzled
Ass.
