Teachers work best when in seminars
Poets read verses in smokey bars
Chefs rock with a spoon
Plumbers show their moon
But Astronomers shoot for the stars!

Premium Member Burping Blues

Borborgymic and gurgling,
he tried to go a-burgling,
but when he snagged the diamond ring,
his eructations stole the day.

So now he watches seminars;
he's learning how to play guitar.
He even hums a couple bars,
stamps license plates for play.

Premium Member Giddy Retirement Days

Some days are up, others are down
Little setbacks wear a big frown
  Every ache or pain, magnified
Tingles and twinges our battle cries

  Offered a plethora of seminars
Telling us 'bout how lucky we are
To benefit from sophisticated financial planning
~ Though we spend all our money on MRI scanning

Symposia

I invite you all to a symposia, a series,
A bunch of events on uplifting the dreary
I encourage everyone to please convene
On how we might unravel the things between
What people do and what people say
And how their dismay is not on display
Through these seminars we will discover
How to help our sisters and brothers
Those who suffer silently in front of our faces
And desperately need a soothing oasis
Together we will learn how to assist
Those whose depression always persists
