Premium Member Amazing Days Happen

Despite the self-doubt that's
encouraged by shouts
of guilt
muted by I-didn't-do-it-ness

The lordess works in mysterious ways.

Self Doubt

Life's journey can be a dream come true
never give up on the positive

Resurfacing

resurfacing self doubt
recurring negative
self talk emerging
once again after
being buried for
so long within
the recesses of

Premium Member So, What's Between Your Ears

A poem flew into my brain
I - distracted - it flew back out

Proving there’s nothing between my ears ~
‘cept a vacuum sealed in self-doubt

pessimism
through
and
             through
             self-doubt
in greens
red
             and blue
             unfinished
un-signed
so many
                paintings

On Andy Murray's Us Open Victory

In him the brilliance
and self doubt of a nation
learning to say
without justification
or qualification
This is my place
on the stage of the world
And this is my mark
on the page of history

Gay Teen

I'm alone, even amongst my friends
Who among them could understand?
A gay teen, full with self doubt
Insults from others sting
Mental barbs are worse
For the alone
Desperate
Hated
Gay.

Wisdom In Silence

Self-confident
Stay silent
Self-doubt is loud.

Deep waters run
Slowly flows
It's less noise.

Loud doesn't mean
Above others
Manners not rude.

Who listens more
Those who knows more
Who speaks less.

DOUBT

Heart, what do you want?
Is it in front?

Uttering those whispers,
You show me hopes of glimmers.

Heart, are you confused?
While my soul is used.
But you, be at ease.
As the divine will show you peace.

Now Is the Time

Now is the time
To show everyone that you can achieve
Remove all self-doubt
Be the one to believe
Take those steps forward
Promote the positive
You have it all in you
Rising up should be the fierce motive

Yes, You Can Do It

Yes, you can do it
You have it in you
Just believe in yourself
And put your heart into everything you do
Remove self-doubt
Make your world bright
Accentuate grand thoughts
Guide your way towards the light

Words On the Run

Poetic intention,
hiding in Prose

Misplaced and misspoken,
as every Bard knows

A narrative run on,
words littered about

Neither beauty nor truth
—masked in self doubt

Highs
and lows,
come & go,
the tide ebbs ,then
flows
to
cover
yesterday's
footprints on the
shore-
now
no more,
the shadows
of forgotten
flaws,
gone,
self-doubt
left to die-
hope unleashed,flies
high

Lenten Reflection

Self-denial is the doorway
that leads us closer to God.
To lose oneself is to gain
a deeper intimacy with Christ.

Self-doubt is the window
through which the devil
makes his entrance.

Confidence Lacking

confidence lacking
running low
on empty
internal engine
controlling self-esteem
levels
depleted motivation
driving force
give up on goals
give in to self-doubt
lowering the bar even
lower than before

Late autumn afternoon
on the beach a broken branch
sways to the overtures
of lapping waves, contemplating
on whether to trust again after
the pain of wind’s betrayal.

Self doubt

Disappear

No purpose do you serve

How dare you creep into my head

You have a bloody nerve!

You are not wanted

Get out of my brain

Dangerous and disliked

Disappear

Beat it….on your bike!

Premium Member Insecurity

self-doubt exposes fear so deep
my thoughts to myself i keep

my hesitancy for help is prolonged
for my wanting to belong

the uncertainty of people's thoughts
leave me all distraught

the struggle is so real
how did i get in this ordeal?

This Is My Time

turned over
a new leaf
from this moment
on to take this
chance and run
with it to the
finish line
not going to
fumble the ball
this time around
not going to be
tackled by self-doubt
this will be my moment
to finally achieve my dreams
