Schizophrenia
Festering innards
Valley overgrown with shards
Fragments oozing soul

Sometime's I am not sure
If this is a case
Of being utterly, utterly
Happy,
Or if this is just
The early on-set of
Schizophrenia
GF
I'm dazed and confused
I really am in control
Am I who I am
No answer was my reply
Schizophrenia deepens

starting
with learning
to spell
it correctly
then hearing
the chaos of sound
and voices
in the song
of silence
and then
waking up
on the wrong side
of the world
save me from me, please,
don't wrap me or cell me, just,
give ME what THEY want

Dr. Jekyll
Diabolical, villainous
Experimenting, killing, hating
Murder, schizophrenia, man, husband
Loving, caring, rationalizing
Gentle, friendly
Mr. Hyde
lets face it I am single.
I am looking for love.
Tired of being alone.
Want love and my person.
How to find love I have no idea.
I have schizophrenia.
I am 35 years old.
I am 6 ft 2.

You’ve heard of schizophrenia and psychosis sure,
And you’ve heard of bipolar and how there is no cure.
But, why does nobody talk about the thing that is both?
The thing that also takes a mindset of growth.
Mental illness is simply like an open box,
Filled with expressions of beauty.
With letters of love and symbols of color,
Overflowing with emotional passion.
Not a basket, but a box.
We're just like you, but never closed.
My oldest son was killed by a drunk hit and run.
Schizophrenia then afflicted my surviving son,
so in my attempt not to depress anyone,
whenever others ask me if I have any children,
my response to them is always, "I have none."
In concert with the dimming sun
I rise to greet the day
Walk fast in joyous warmth
Under stars refrain
Heights of shadows coat the moon
Turning toward the ocean waves
In concert with the morning gloom
My heart now seems to fade
was nothing
next to you, and now, and bipolar
schizophrenia.
You create better art
than Picasso.
You write better poetry
than Shakespeare.
You are my sister
and that means more
than anything smaller
could ever hope to be.
Running away,
Stayng behind.
Not knowing what,
Is on my mind.
Not wanting to change
'Cause I think I'll lose
Then wanting to try on
Someone elses shoes.
I'm feeling serene
I'm feelin' no pain
But now I think
I'm goin' insane.
The often hurt of being her
Is sometimes more than she can bear;
It shuts its ears to voices that
Attempt to sound out care.
It blinds its eyes to other eyes
That try to see past such;
And yet it drops defenses
When it sees and hears a touch.
A whole house aired with dust
and dark twilight at every hour,
there was a mountain— tall as rust
that made me feel a coward.
There were cans and cans on
tiled floor? More dust and dirt
on towels. As a child, I clutched my teddy
bear, while inside I lost
some vowels.
When you split the beam and the splintered edge
is all you’re left with
The only one you’ve outsmarted
is yourself
A prisoner of your severed choice
and schizophrenia
The victim of your hearts defeat
—and loves denial
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2019)
Delusion must be a comforting thing;
To see the world just how you like.
To give you purpose every day
And let reality take a hike.
But don't be troubled
When I say that;
Delusion
Is just
fine
For the psychopaths and the egg shell brained, swimming in life's brine
Voices scream like cockerels' within the farm of my mind
Awake again. should I even bother opening my eyes?
Maybe if I dont, the day wont have to start.
I roll out of bed into consciousness.
Coffee. Black like my mood.
Nicotine and coffee are good ammunitions.
How many hours till sleep?
If God was not here
Who walked with me?
In that little room with a bit of light
Holding onto whispers of the mind
I've met the others
who call on your name
sign your name to messages
and have been locked away
Am I of the number?
Where is the line?
If God was not here
who was with me all the time?
I Open my mouth to swallow the pill
its a little thing that keeps me in check
mental health is not a state of mind
how schizophrenia is so unkind
voices,pain,hurt and reel
i cut myself because i just want to feel
i never asked for such crimson
i never asked for such pain
it will be a long time until im healed again.
Jekyll and Hyde decided to entwine,
remaining at all times fully aware,
that come what may, they needed to align
with pulse of love, for which they must outstare
cravings of ego, which they must decline,
by remaining still, life’s ultimate dare.
In the womb of love opposites dissolve,
paving way for both of them to evolve.
Drifting away from myself
Is like breaking of the chord
Division inside me
Disconnection of inner me from reality
Loosing my identity
Don't care whose watching
But heart sobbing silently
Arms crossed over my head
Eyes blurred with tears
Like a lost child wondering around
Its an unbearable nightmare
Is like sinking in a pool of schizophrenia.
Along this strange venue I tread
Arcane a man of many
Concocted from what is deemed to be
The most unimaginable beliefs
Each direction guided by a thought
Happens to have a mind of its own
Conspiracies and schizophrenia harmonize
Like loved ones who’d never forsake I
One would gather that darkness
Is like an oblivious obscurity of validity
My brain has molded around that thought
When schizophrenia attempts to drown my son
I spin a lifeline of love that can't be undone.
And toss it to him when he starts slipping under
for I'll not let him drown or be torn asunder.
When I hold him, and he lays his head on my chest
and says, "father, I can hear your heart”...it's the best.
