The Saltiness of Sorrow
careening through outer space
on this giant blue marble
sailing upon the waters
called the sea of discontent
when came the time of evil
the saltiness of sorrow
yet a revival of hope
and with a return to love
bring about the paradise
we have long been waiting for

Premium Member Dreaming Tears of Joy
awakened
by the saltiness
i felt wet memories
flowing down my cheeks
kissing my lips
teasing my tongue—
a briny tingling
that coughed up
shared cherished moments

though i miss you
how sweet it is
that dreams can release
tears of joy that grief
often seeks to dam

rest well
my sweet one—
may your spirit continue
to delight me......

Gone
Everyday is the same, drowning in my tears, pain and hurt swallow me whole
leaving nothing of me behind. I try to live my life happy but it comes out pitiful and
worthless. My eyes are constantly burning from the saltiness of my tears i cry for
you. Im tired of trying to gain your satisfaction. im done with you for good my tears
are dried up and you are nothing but a lost memory...

Tide
Gemstones on a shoreline
maladjusted to the saltiness of fallen tears
basted in the din of sunbeam atoms colliding
the neap, a resting time from mortal waveforms
towed beneath the sanded plasma of sinking unblown glass
a final lash, a glinting sorrow, an eternal goodbye
so many facets unturned, a reminder of the emptiness
no shimmer on the barren plains of shore, a reflection
of the once and final aortic beat...

Salt of the earth
intended for flavor
Lacking in saltiness,
what’s there to savor?

No longer useful
ends in defeat
thrown out and trampled
under the feet

There for the world
shining and bright
up on a hill
out in plain sight

Not under a basket,
on a stand, before men
Reflecting His glory
not light from within

Works in your own strength:
a bit like leaven
Reflect your Father’s
glory from heaven

(from Matthew 5)...

Premium Member Sweet Hunger
The desire wells up inside me
and I feel near to bursting
my needs so close to the surface
churning with passion
this sweet hunger is all consuming
as I devour the fragrence of your flesh
the heady saltiness of lust stinging my tongue
I am the fire,
you are the oxygen that fuels the flame
forever burning on a hot bed of embers
that will never die from hunger
Oh, the sweet hunger that drives the passion
between two souls
I am drunk on your wines....

Listen to poem:
the sky abounds with stars tonight
reflections dance across the sea
from far beyond a melody
igniting thoughts of you and me

so miles apart we'd spend in flight
in eagerness to cross the sea
meanwhile distance calls in whispers sweet
and rhythmics sway as one heartbeat

moonlight sultry calls and beckons
for lovers underneath to meet
to bask in warmth and saltiness of air
arm in arm to walk for miles along the beach
