Listen to poem:
the sky abounds with stars tonight
reflections dance across the sea
from far beyond a melody
igniting thoughts of you and me

so miles apart we'd spend in flight
in eagerness to cross the sea
meanwhile distance calls in whispers sweet
and rhythmics sway as one heartbeat

moonlight sultry calls and beckons
for lovers underneath to meet
to bask in warmth and saltiness of air
arm in arm to walk for miles along the beach

My heart beats faster just reading this. What a romantic poem. I learned this one in college. "Two things that can tear my heart in two, moonlight on still pools and you" Your poem makes me think of this one. Moonlight is truly one of my favorite things. It is so calm, peaceful and comforting, especially on water. I'm so lucky and happy to have found your poem. It is 10:30 pm now in the north east and I am going outside for a minute with my husband to find the moon.
