''A Cowboy Is''
He is up at dawn, with his snake boots on.A man of his word,he takes on a heard.Rough and
tough the cowboy glares, showing all he's not afraid of bears.Takes out his gun as he rides
into the sun.Roping and riding,a no holds bars.At the end of the day,he gazes at the stars....

Strange Face
With a cool frosty wind
He came calling
Swiftly drifting inward
With a  fruit
Stretched as a reward
For every word
Subtly tearing the branch
From every trunk
With a canny laugh
Tethering the head
Roping the man
Sounding the beginning
With a bit
For every bait....

Silver Lining
I guess the silver lining
is that I learn humility
once more I forgive
and love falls at your feet
roping with your lariat
more than you'll ever need
what do you do with the excess?
when you tire of paying heed
when the sky is clear and cloudless
when your limit has been exceeded...

Awakening
A distant sound,
noise.
Detached.
Increasing, unrelenting, overwhelming,
piercing, and painful.
Destroy it.

I stir inside a body not my own,
groping to find the roping of its limbs,
my body is possessed,
with a drunken soul and
I drown in a black whirlpool of emotion.
I punch the noise,
and end the pain.
Now rise and
walk !...

Fit Covid-19
Pushups and planks
Now armpits stank

Roping and jumping
Outdoors I'm loving

Kicking and punching
Tension and stress releasing

Netflix on house arrest
Sunshine and fresh air, I confess

Kissed by the sun
Just vying for some fun

Social distancing
Nature I'm embracing

Mellifluous birds I hear
Living with no fear

Quarantine commanding
God's word I'm standing...

Substrate channeling, now wading through cellular river
Patches, by God, the sight! The sight! In-diving dream stabilizer
Atrophying now in the nebula; Pilfering the idea controls; the singular vastness!
Computations aloft and asunder the dwelling of our being like wrinkled raisins under roping
Elephants; church bells a-tolling; Lincoln Logs a-rolling; turn the ship we would, if we could....

It's Christmas
IT’S CHRISTMAS!

Jingle, jingle rings all the bells,

Sounding the season roping jolliness;

With gifts traveling to distant places,

And joy running the realm of existence.

There’s high celebration dancing ecstatically in the air;

Showers of goodly hilarity blessing our sphere.

On the whole, it’s nice to have great fun;

Not forgetting the One who gave His only son.

Merry Christmas everyone!...

Premium Member The New Christmas Tree
The tree in the corner shimmered with tinsel A tradition I remember from Christmases past, With bright colored bulbs and glittery roping We filled the stand with water to make it last. This year it was replaced by aluminum fronds And twinkling lights pre-installed at the store, No water required, it will last forever and ever An improvement, eh? I say “Nay, what a bore!”

Premium Member Cowboy Up
A Cowboy lives his life,
From sunrise to sunset.
Hard work, calloused hands,
And a bunk to hang his hat.

Riding, roping, branding,
It's all for a week's pay.
Come Friday night it's time,
To chase the blues away.

A few cold beers in hand,
A Cowgirls twirling skirt.
It helps a man forget,
The hard days in the dirt.

But when the fun is done,
And the sun starts to grin.
It's time to grab the reins,
And Cowboy up again....

Wrangled Mime: Spoonerisms
Penning wrangled mime
and wared out of my skits,
I’m poked in serspiration,
My mind’s in fisted twits.

It’s not the way I spike to leak;
I’ve turned to try it down.
Still I'm rilled with florious grime,
so nothing dings me brown.

We poets are a lazy crot,
voiling with turds and worse.
Roping with the fools of corm,
dinditions so reverse.

A hong lot toke in the sub
might dude me a girl of wood.
Or how about a bun at the reach?
Well, I can’t wet a gay, but I should....

Your Friendly Neighborhood Poet
I’m trying to glide tight roping
with what I deem fly for whip lash
and hoping. I’m sort of bat crazy,
even though I’m a nonchalant Godly warrior,
with rhymes that’s potent in riddle, enigma I am,
old school with the gym raise of bar.
So get carried away I am
because I am magnetic to the field of static
with the shock of real pandemonium.
