Written Savior
my words are my soul, ripped into shreds
once written and twice read...
my mind rejuvenates after the sentence slams out
one breath and two exhales......

I Am a Lamb
My busted life- cracked and hollow,
Drowned too deep to find air or light
A thousand paths, but none to follow
(Don't let me fall from Heaven's height!)

Ripped to shreds and bound in beds,
I cannot fathom who I am
Lost in Lies and cold, grey skies-
I am a helpless, little Lamb

A Nation Divided
A nation divided, its fabric ripped to shreds
Like a clipper ship’s sails in a hurricane
Its rudder wrenched from its stern
Leaving its course to the mercy of its abuser
The fate of its crew dependent on its strength
And its ability to weather the storm
To once again sail proudly and majestically
Over the treacherous seas of public opinion....

To Think of My Daydreams Peacefully
I only think about my future
right before I go to sleep at night,
when all the spirits wait to feed on my
venerable, weak mind
that gets ripped to shreds
in a moment I once thought to be peace
could turn to chaos in less than a second.
one minute I will be having the time of my life,
and later it could be the end of the world,
all because I feel so alone
with everyone around....

An Autumn wind blew an acorn
from the paws of a squirrel
  right into the pond
without so much as a twirl

Then the wind knocked down a sapling
   that had recently sprouted
 cackling madly as a witch
   at the foliage it routed…

 Heralding a long bitter winter
   Madame Wind howled as fierce
as a wolf ripped to shreds by a bear
~ primal instincts ravaging its lair...

Garden Fate
It was ripped to shreds
turned over, and dumped
atop a chipped hole in the earth

The garden had been pretty
weedy, but pretty nevertheless

Like anything it took time to grow
a bleeding heart a couple bushes
the occasional tulip planting
a horrifying dog toy and bones

but in the end all of it
was upchucked and abandoned
on a pile of rocks and debris
waiting for their gardener
to rescue them...

Still Standing
Where were you when my world fell apart?
The Sun darkened and the Moon just fled.
All had been done and all had been said.
And ripped to shreds was my beating heart.

Even the Seas began to part.
And the Mountain tops spread.
I lay there completely dead.
Even the Stars I could not chart.

If only you knew,
If only you were there,
If only you had a clue!
If only life had been fair!

I’d turn the clocks back,
Still standing dead in my track!...

Freedom
Can't touch, can't love, can't kiss, can't hold
Can't do anything but be cold. I hate the world, except for her
So I try, and I fail
Burnt am I, I dead am I, All I've done is cry and cry
Ripped to shreds, cut down and dried, all I need is to die
Please dear god, end my life. If you're there
If you care, Silence these nightmares please!
I am through! God I hate you!
I rule me! You lied to me!
Go away! Do not stay!
I am free! Let me be!...

Single Girl
Lonely street, dark and late
She ran so fast and hard
Waiting there, watching her
He dragged her in a yard

She tried to fight, scratched his eyes
Screaming cries through pain
Some one saw, some one heard
Yet no one never came

Torn to pieces, ripped to shreds
Spat on, kicked and bruised
Broken nose, shattered limbs
A heart that she once used

Pupils fixed, eyes so still
Lifeless cold and grey
Single girl, all alone
Her life did end today...
