The chimes reveling above,
flush with high-spirits, considering
The dolorous toll of the bells
below, met with knowing glances
Another shot he didn't need
adrenaline his veins would bleed
What gentleman would not revel in
a date who looks like Marilyn
Don’t
think
that just
because yours
was the final word
you are right. Many times people
quit arguing hoping it will make you stop talking.
So you and they can revel in the sweet sound of silence but for different reasons.

opening your heartstrings
seeing your happiest self
mastering the cold
enthusiastically enjoying day's snowflakes
loving life and your place in it
feeling God's joy for the day
Intuitively wise, yet open
Unifying your soul-self with your flesh-self
You become blissfully joyful,
daring to revel in winter's eye
Can you, O Lord,
dim the sun a bit
and brighten
the moon some?
Can you mix wine
in the seas a bit
and add to the wind
fragrance some?
Can you color
the clouds a bit
and add music
to the rainfall some?
Can you sling a swing
over the rainbow a bit
and toss confetti
with the snowfall some?
Then, I shall celebrate
my life a bit,
and greet death
with smiles some.
virgin feet,
i stepped onto the quicksand
in ignorance of it’s
deceit.
as the clouds
overhead draw
together in the
grayest anger,
my heart hurts for relief.
i stand tall, but
that doesn’t change the
reality of this
disaster.
you were a tornado that
spun me for a loop;
so much destruction
in such a short time.
i can’t admit my defeat so
i’ll suffer in silence and
watch you walk away.
no matter if there’s nothing
left for me to rebuild
myself:
this is the end.
