Sleep

Sleep, sleeping, to sleep. Deep sleep,
Need sleep, Rem sleep, Can’t sleep.
This precious function so essential
To the young seems elemental.
Longing for this simple need
This aging mind can only plead.
Just one sweet night in Neverland
This old girl would think it grand.
And zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Sleep, sleeping, to sleep. Deep sleep, Need sleep, Rem sleep, Can’t sleep. Longing for this simple need My tired mind can only plead. Just one long night in Neverland That sweet dream would be so grand The sheep counted are without number Still no sign of precious slumber At last exhaustion rules the day On a cloud of bliss I slip away...

Here We Go Again
One more day of disappointment
Troubled mind along with a heavy heart
Dreary pupils refusing to see clearly
The concept of sadness and sorrow are realized
Elevation is but a dream

Waves shoot through mind-realm as I plunge blindly across the timeless book shelves of Nap-Dream.

Rem Changeling
She danced upon my sleepy knife-edge
Rem sleep concealed; my hollow tin ledge
Was the naked girl who stole my show

Labanotation echoed her tarred shamed knees
Free falling from grace, cumulating fees
Have every my gutter pushed so low?

Integument tally, a dollar per pound
Rumoured lies within; no truth found
Flesh voucher paid in Bordeaux

So I flickered in though
Scar tissue hand did plough
My poured soda fountain flow...

Premium Member Grandmother Spider
Grandmother Spider was constructing an intricate web
Full of dainty loops and whorls, to catch humans unaware.
She incorporated ideas they could have never had during the day
Their imaginations are on fire during REM sleep slumber.

Grandma Spider recognized this, letting them dance and sing
Some caught fire and ran toward their muses
Others blew away in the dust upon their awakening.
Grandmother Spider never gave up trying. She was a dream-weaver,...

Life Is Written: by Miracle Man 3/7/2020 Life isn't only wildflower picking, but it's also about grubbing weeds. Which flourish during April showers, from seasons long past, and fallen seeds. Each day is determined by the thoughts, incubated during my Rem sleep. I sleep approximately four hours, probably why thoughts, appear so cheap. “More important than what others think about you, is your self image, and what God knows about you.” Tom
