Sleep

Sleep

Sleep, sleeping, to sleep. Deep sleep,
Need sleep, Rem sleep, Can’t sleep.
This precious function so essential
To the young seems elemental.
Longing for this simple need
This aging mind can only plead.
Just one sweet night in Neverland
This old girl would think it grand.
And zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Wonderful Barbara. I enjoyed it for its serious side and also for its lovely humour - particularly the last line LOL. Love, Nigel
