The Lost Apple
The Lost Apple

Solemn
Blossom
Gleesome
Possum
Ravening beast, solemn, blossom, dead.
Killer of plants, gleesome, possum, fed.

Safe
White sheep, you graze February grass,
nip up the weed-fresh forage
without raising heads,
chew gently dreaming in your sunlight,
fearless, because we shepherd you,
stand guard. We fence out all ravening mouths
beyond our own shadows and watch.
The night you sleep and we sleep –
	what then?...

Klaus is a ravening louse
WHO is his edict-ing house
Where he whips errant fantasy out
There he acts world bell-weather
Strutting and foaming of mouth

His offering Though's really small
A magnifier; here is the call.'
The maiden did shout
What's the slug all about?
So he slid through a crack in the wall...

Pans: Again
More pans to wash …
More pans to wash!!!
They come umpteen times a day.

My hands are chapped,
My back is crook’d
I wish they’d go away.

But when they’re dry and shiny, sitting neatly on their shelves
My thoughts can turn to what comes next -
Some tasty treat, no longer vexed
I now ‘create; and undertake
Pie, bun, roast a glorious cake?
Foods to soothe the ravening beasts
My pans cook up some wondrous feasts....

I see no shelter
I see no shelter,
while I move past the crowds,
eager to put down the burden,
weighed upon my shoulders.

I see no shelter,
to quench my undying thirst,
in the scorching heat of loneliness,
that shrivel up my hopes.

I see no shelter,
to hide from the sun's flare,
that blinds my sight,
hindering my journey ahead.

For all I see are men,
hastening around me,
waiting for none but for themselves,
among the ravening....

Gloomy Soldiers
Eyes like cynthia's brow
starin beyond the cloud
in a ruminative refine gaze
indelliblely staring skyward

the men of the shadow deviced it
like a rustling of a dry leaf
He has rustled up,
and cross the rubicon....

Man is now cruel..
Man is bestial and blustery
Man is now a canal beast..

O why ar you so cruel?
Even to the unguilty
Yes! He was not a hood
you take even the unguilty
when ravening like a wild beast...
For who to take next
In this gloomy world......

Seabirds and Waves
They cry through open caves,
plunge behind last raised wing.
What crashes into them
is the oceans voice beheaded.
They rollick on the verge
of a rise and fall.
Indoor cats stare out of windows
as heckling seabirds tumble and dive
for shadows of sleek iridescence.
Those hunched upon the land
hear a kraken call
made small,
a throaty ravening,
couched within the seas rolling tongue,
where the free freely hunt
the already captive,
the almost caught....
