My college fell 200 spots in the annual rankings ~
Seems professors no longer give the students spankings
World Happiness rankings are down
More Americans wear a frown
At Number Eighteen
The whole world has seen
What happens when led by a clown!
She is faithful to poetry

She has not sold her mind
When readers disappear
As I get near
Or their comments do
Year after year

When you’re being celebrated
you are being hated
someone who believes their better
stood there devastated
when you are the champion
all you see’s the challenge come
everybody wants a piece
they want to bury you beneath
they all want to get the better
now the rankings say their lesser
it’s a lonely place to hate
not the glory dreams create
Dear Poetry Soup: I was wondering what formula you use to choose Best Poets
Here, including Best New Poets and Best Poets in last 2 weeks. In other words what
is the criteria you use that determines these rankings? I'm sure that many new members
who post here would also like to know what procedure is used for their knowledge so they
can proceed accordingly.
