To have loved and lost
are a heaven and a hell;
and the place between
is their own purgatory,
a limbo of sorting out.

Words From Purgatory

For the 'good mornings'
You fail to give,
For the 'goodnight' that stare,
But you do not see,
The 'goodbye' would hurt
Without cease.

Words From Purgatory

So much, I could not bottle in
My troubled thoughts and inner grim
Too much enough for a slouchy soul
Pray it fades like the windy snow.

He is the number one story
On news t-rump's in his glory
The die hards he'll scare
When their health care's not there
Leaving them in purgatory
Form: Limerick

Purgatory Perhaps

grimaces around me
there is no light here
smog erupts through my visible soul
I have yet to realize my location
brain and heart are no longer with me.

Words From Purgatory

Love while your heart beats
Less to give when it cease
Much less to see when you cleanse.
Why purge when you can treat?
Here, you will purge without treat.
Form: Lyric

We Hold the Reigns

We hold the reigns to victory, or defeat - or that awful purgatory of in-between.

nugatory coin tossed,
up in the air —

purgatory.

Harbor Purgatory

The gentle purgatory invites me, my harbor,
If a man doesn’t belong in hell or heaven,
Neither in life or love, where does he belong?
To his forever home, where he shall rest…

Premium Member Germinating Souls

As winter
yields to spring
seeds wrinkled in time
join dormant flower bulbs
seeking sheltering dwellings
in purgatory catacombs of earth
and await the labor of nature’s rebirth.

Alone

Alone I stand..steady and calm as my eyes wonder, Deep in depression my soul lays in its fetal position, Crying out for affection as I wanders alone through this purgatory we live in.

God gives free will to Humankind.
Many think out of sight is out of mind.
While others claim they can't see.
Yet, choice leads to purgatory.
And there's plenty of hemp, you'll find.

Love

Never touch never see
nor posess must be free
everliving and deathless
not from above or below
yet it exists,all humans know
subsistent through purgatory
unremittingly is its truest form
Form: Narrative

Soulfire

My mind's disturbed
fading
crumbling into abyss
a selfmade purgatory
hellfires burn in my soul
as my inner child bleeds a pus like substance
what to do
someone tell me
I need saving from myself

Words From Purgatory

A step down the downright cone.
Praying a peace tends the toans.
At the creaking arch of every boan,
a higher pitch, take the tones.
Tones taking a piece for peace.
Screaming, 'walk upright, please’.
Form: Lyric

Le Vacance Pretentieuse: Thoughts From the Clouds

Endless White, billowed dreams of squatting men,
I stretch out to grasp an insubstantial floating sky,
A fluffy purgatory, a Grayscale cycle revolves again
Forever out of reach, I extend arms, choosing to fly.

Purgatory
Often imagined as a place
Is actually a condition
Who dies in Eternal God’s grace
(At peace in God and in men)

Who still needs purification
Before seeing Eternal God
face to face
Is in purgatory

Chased down
Like prey
Fear prevails
All rational brain dissipated
Helpless now

In subconscious purgatory
Breathlessly waiting

For an unfortunate end
More real than any reality

nightmare from the bowels of hell

Love Absurd

re Gail Doyle's..."In Love." passion flows in every word, love is all we need, gets blurred, without love, it's black on white, no cause to live, no sweetness light, purgatory comes slowly by, absurd. Don Johnson

When the dastardly woman Helena
Arrives to collect our souls
And cast them into the lake of purgatory,
She ponders whether she shall find
The soul of a young, zealous woman
Worth more nickels of eternity,
Than the areolas of a haughty bastard?
Form: Verse

Cinematography of a Memory

Oblivious to arcane mishaps
That molest the bones established by society
The echo of her tattoo sings of a great depression
Each time the memory surfaces,
A twisted grin is born
Perhaps this could be the preluding window to existential purgatory
Form: Verse

We Like Hell

dense clouds
gives way
to acidic rain
i am really hungry
standing in the dock
to hell without fire
priests popes and saints
are still in purgatory
half way to heaven
blessed are the poor
we like hell
no pretence and
fire in our hearts

My Purgatory

I wear a mask that keeps smiling when the tears want to roll like a river down my face. I keep breathng though my herat is broken. I keep praying though i may have lost my faith. My house is full but I am alone. I long for a love that no longer exists.

Premium Member Purgatory forever for her

She was so wishy-washy she went to neither heaven or hell
Purgatory forever is where this listless lifeless one will dwell
She could never decide on this, that, them, he, she, or another
I blame her doting, spoiling family – mom, dad, sister and brother.
