To be buried
bound up tight,
surrounded sweetly by snuggles,
covered and cuddled
oh so nice;
rollin' round
reaching for the top
grabbing and pounding you with pillows
playfully pummeling you with love...

Craft
Stuck here on icy edge of reason
Trying hard not to look so down
Tumbling unbalanced mindsets
Wind in pummeling gusts
Accompany fears
That put me here
So lonely
Oh sweet

Soap Box
standing upon
a soap box
trying to make
point of view
be seen as only
way to be
yelling through
a bullhorn at the
masses gathered
around
pummeling the
crowd with a
hell storm of
subliminal messages...

The gods at war again
Throwing bolts of lightning,
Torrential pummeling rain
The sky is dark at midday
The gauntlet has been lain,
Tots find it all so frightening
Tearful 'til the beast is slain.

A rolling drum of thunder resonated
outside lightning twisted across the grey
expanse of sky simply inundating.
Trees began to tango, swirl and jive
while sheets of rain plummeted from clouds
pummeling our startled lawn,
emboldening the rhododendrons to bloom,
liberating the Clematis to sprout,
invigorating and exciting the whole garden

and all before the first day of spring....

A Childs Laughter
For Ameer

A boy’s laughter
Rolled off his tongue
And created butterflies
Within my soul

I imagined his little feet
Running bare across
The plush carpet
His toes gripping the threads

A boy’s laughter
Sent a shock through my spine tonight
His chuckle a glorious sound wave

Crashing against the shore
Pummeling toward my heart
With his innocence
With his laughter that he can’t stop

A Child’s Laughter
Saved my Soul...

Saying Good-Bye
My heart plummets as torrents of rain
Beat against my foggy window
Pummeling the glass as I
Stare at the phone

You said you'd call and now it's been
Days since you said good-bye
Leaving me to pine away
The long hard hours

Is your imprint on somebody's sheets
Your sights on someone new?
You're breaking my heart
Just don't do it

I gaze at the walls as they close in
With each hour you disappear
From my heart and soul
Farewell my love...
