Mission Santa Cruz

Early mission's ruin makes chaff.
Former pride's diminished by half.
Seen now old destruction's no laugh.
Glory's faded.
Rogues were ruled not by an oak staff.
Prudence jaded.

Way Too Long and Was All Wrong

Way Too Long and Was All Wrong
So Be Strong

What happened had been way too long;
Nothing being right and was all wrong;
Patience and prudence,
Did make much sense,
While we are here standing so strong.

Premium Member Recklessness V Prudence

If recklessness,

Doesn't leave the rudder of humanity's boat

Into prudence hands,

Man would soon have to face the typhoon of

Nature's wrath!

Two Dionas In Prudence

Seeking Information

Asking questions increases
One’s mind’s knowledge to cherish
Vast science, art or technique.

Common Sense

Once we understand or learn
Nothing but wisdom to earn;
Easily we will discern.

Turbulence

TURBULENCE
In the wake of love, we found the turbulence
Are you going to talk about the occurrence
Time can be space and space can be prudence
Let's forget about everything else before the independence

Trespassing

TRESPASSING

Here I am
Your dream girl.

I heard you say it
When you mauled
And crawled
My skin
And tore it
Of prudence, and
(nine! nine! only nine!)
Every coulda shoulda woulda
Took hold and didn’t.

And now
I am here
Because you
Were there
Calling me dream girl.

Solitude.

Fight all we must.
Keep shackles away
Even from the vicinity
Of where our minds may stray.

Counter if you must
Resist what's innate
For what meets the eye
Is just another bait.

Preposterous are these bonds
For they bind no more than lies
Prudence rests with those
Who let solitude suffice.

A Modest Man

He grew his own food,
And sewed his own clothes,
He owed no one,
But shared with everyone.

He rejected larceny,
Refrained from intrigue,
Spurned lust, lies and malice,
Spoke only kindness
And practiced but prudence.

He was a modest man… are we?

SELF DEFINITION

          Intellectual ideas hardly define you
          until unless you implement !
          Define yourself on your activity,
          keeping conformity and creativity .
Proceed and progress never to regress.
Posthumous prudence may redefine you on refinement.

Determined

I’m trying to achieve consummate prudence
But I’ll need to avoid all the pollutants that impeded
My spiritual movement

Diligent in faith and prayer
But when I approach the cashier
I’m told to “remain steadfast and austere”

I'm resigned to do His will
As I place my hand on the wheel
And take my pep pill

Life is when lived in memories

Nimble and agile,
Life is vim, vigour, virile,
Prudence gone sterile.

Limp getting the knees
Life is lived in memories—
In rest, reveries!

Wearer of Lace

Does a wearer of lace
Run a wild breathless race
And still radiate True Grace
Or of prudence show trace?
And does he keep up face
linked with Dignified Pace?
Senator off with mace
And it triggers no case
Or him not cost his place?

Never shall rash action
Sparking off reaction
And pour interaction
Favor any faction.

Pretence

Prudence rode her neon lime green bike down to the corner
Right up to the library
Entrance, she wore her bleach blond hair spiky short
Talking too loudly and popping her Bazooka Joe
Every time the librarian glared at her
Next to the magazine rack she
Covertly studied the science section hoping no one noticed her focused
Eyes

Liberum Divisa 2 Contest by Gregory R. Barden

Last check before the parrot was taken outside

I forgot to add tomatoes to
the beef.
And I was told to put a 1/2
Of white grape juice in the
Broth with an additional
3 T of crown royal
and to omit the horseradish.
We added one teaspoon of
Anchovies oil to the mayo
and crumbled in some sun
dried tomatoes.
That should be the show!
Sweet banana peppers to
do the thang!

The Great Learning

Stilling avarice with abstinence,
He recovers profound innate wisdom,
Gaining sincerity most genuine,
And a righteous heart of prudence,

As proper mind exudes propriety,
He harmonizes hearth and household,
And steers his state away from woe,
Proving himself fit for purple dignity.
