Prior to my retirement the fog was out there
~ Now it is in here
A slippery slope
vote and hope.
Don’t read prior
dire straits crier.
Time to mope.

I am rapidly opening up possibilities
in my frightened mind
prior to making the moves I need
to get out of here
before he grabs me
I was born
in 1944
many things
have happened
prior to
and since then
but being born
was the greatest
influence
on my life;
up to now.
Elijah was caught up to heaven in a whirlwind.
Just prior to that
Elisha asked for and received a double portion of his spirit
Charles Osbourne
had hiccups for sixty eight years
Sixty eight years he had hiccups for
Only one year prior to his death-
he had hiccups no more !
Intuition is ours
emotional antenna ...
for the idea comes
prior to action and
spirit it's erstwhile to everything!
Past
prior
knowledge
future
present
unknown
Future
nonexistent
nor
past
neither
present
Present
searches
future
visiting
the
past... !
Holding hands in the crowded corridor
A tender moment amidst the horror
You smiled at me, and touched my heart
I returned the favor ~ thus did we part
A once existed moment
Prior of defeat
Before fear
Boxed me in…
Laughter echoed
In tree tops climbed
Nature’s ignorant son
Rarely taking, ever shaking
Hope…
Leaving & Hotels

Leaving & Hotels not fun
With no money to pay for day one
Must leave before day
Really no other way
Prior to the rise of the sun
First things first, I don my attire
Then to the kitchen, nothing prior
Well maybe a pee
Make sure I'm empty
Then down my liquid happiness applier
No prior POTUS has admired
Towered pyres for esquires they’d hired
Tired not by work hard
Now wired the trump card
That commands retire or You're Fired!
First things first, I don my attire
Then go to the kitchen, nothing prior
Well maybe to pee
Make sure I'm empty
Then down my liquid happiness applier
First things first, I don my attire
Then go to the kitchen, nothing prior
Well maybe to pee
Make sure I'm empty
Then down my liquid happiness applier
First things first, I don my attire
Then go to the kitchen, nothing prior
Well maybe to pee
Make sure I'm empty
Then down my liquid happiness applier

The man on the flying trapeze,
Who loved eating chili and cheese,
Could travel much higher
Than anyone prior
With help from a flatulent breeze.
The pursuit of profundity
prior to simplicity
educes sterility
Mere simplicity
sans profundity
precludes fecundity
LOVE
True love speaks not of an aching deep desire
To take, possess and hold exclusively
But acceptance of existence without prior
Condition, just the will that thou may BE
Parachuting has its advantage – Freefall!
Flying, screaming, scareder than ever prior
Chute won’t open! Now I am coming, gliding
Hope MY chute opens!

Prior to March
Sunlight streams brilliant
Streaked silver veils.
Periwinkles bloom in amber dew;
Glossy azure blossoms
Rusty vermilion.

I dropped my keys in the recycle bin.
By chance, I disastrously threw them in.
What's worse is that just prior
to a dire dumpster fire,
I reached down to get 'em and fell right in.
Thomas Aquinas a 13th century friar
raised poetry a little higher
With his prayer anapestic
an AABBA now styled a limerick
perhaps led to the position of prior!
I
have lost
family
in the month of
prior Novembers.
suppose to be a time
of leaves coming of the trees
warm drinks, coziness with loved ones
not a month for me to remember

Regarding capital punishment, I have the following question;
Why do they sterilize the inmate's arm prior to lethal injection?
Are they concerned that before he dies that he'll get an infection?
