I’m hesitantly ecstatic,

A conservative eclectic,
And a pragmatic romantic.
I scoff at reality,
I’m a collection of coined morality,
I’m a gracious curmudgeon,
And everyone’s conundrum,
Does this make me gregariously timid?
Or just consistently inconstant?

Edward the First went to Heaven,
Unless,,of course, as a Scotsman might tell,
Edward the First went straight to Hell.
O what joy if all of us knew
how to decide what's false and what's true.
Take my advice, and be pragmatic
and avoid, if you can, being dogmatic

Miss Barker, let me say a word,
though this to many seem absurd.
Your attitude I find pragmatic,
not judgmental, not dogmatic.
So poetry is not your strength
though some will go to any length
to immortalize themselves in verse,
writing dogerell, if not worse.
Avoid concerns to you so alien.
Be what you are, a Pomeranian.
