Ollie the Octopus
Ollie the Octopus with his 9 brains
Broke his 3 hearts in a quick poker game
The blue blood that ran straight to his heart
Suddenly stopped before it could start
It didn't take long before he withered and died
And Ollie the octopus waved us goodbye...

Premium Member I Have Never
I have never been on a safari.
never been on an Alaskan cruise.
never been bungee jumping
never got shot in a poker game
never been on a lion hunt
never driven a car in the Indy500
never piloted a 747
but I can still die happy
because I never wanted to do any of these things...

Premium Member The Play Is Made
Oh, how I love a good game; I anxiously await my turn, And then I make my play. I also love a good play; Good scripts, for which I’m always game; Stories with a good turn. When the tides of stories turn, It just makes the play Afterwards, for coffee I’m game. On weekends, I love a good poker game; it’s a game that can quickly turn on a wrong play.

Poker Game
I played a game of poker,

Thinking I held all the cards.

I thought I truely had her,

Neverminding the visible scars.

I played being sure of a victory,

Now all is lost, all history.

I played a game of poker,

Never realizing the game would play me.

Now I long to hold her,

Yet mine she will never again be....

Premium Member Frightening Poker Game
I am afraid of clowns someone said.
No one laughed.
It was a serious poker game.
Chuckie glared in my direction.

I had not noticed Freddie or Jason yet.
Concentrating so hard on my cards.
When I looked up I tried to bow out.
But I was held in place.

An invisible force controlled me.
A dementor was here!
I was his puppet.
I wished I knew where my invisibility cloak was.

Dracula and the werewolf began salivating.
I knew I was in big trouble now....

Drinking
He spent his nights drinking
Instead of
Helping his children with their homework
Attending their sporting events
Driving them to school
And to their friend's houses
He spent his nights drinking
Staying out all night at a poker game
Where he gambled away all of the money in his pockets
He took money from his daughter's piggy bank
Leaving an I owe you note that he wouldn't pay back
Leaving all of the responsibility to
The mother of his children
Because
He spent his nights drinking...
