School Daze
I miss you with the intensity of a hundred burning suns but I will not speak a word because I do not see angst in your eyes when you glance my way nor can I taste your sadness in the air when we pointedly do not talk....

Premium Member To a Flamingo
A leggy pinkish bird
With grace and calm exposed.
How my drear day lightens
When you come into sight.
Painted like sunset stirred,
Standing pointedly posed,
Your mere presence brightens.
My heart with you takes flight....

Premium Member Pleasure Palace Princesses Pancake Peacock and Powerhouse Pig
Pretty pancake peacock pointedly persuaded powerhouse pig
To publicly plan porcupine’s playful pink planetary probability placement.
Pleasure palace princesses provided puny particulars providing big
Porky plebes who placated porcupines, poking peacock’s replacement....

Premium Member Only One Alpha Here
a stray has been dumped
my old dog is a snapping turtle of anger
pointedly ignoring the interloping puppy

both think they are the alpha dog
trying to get to daddy
I correct them both
by giving Daddy a long kiss on the lips

There is only one Alpha here
And she tolerates no other Alphas...

Premium Member Staring At a Freckle
Staring at a freckle
Misunderstanding her power
Deleting my feeble attempt at happiness
I sigh at my self-imposed, self-indulgent lunacy

who cares?
No one
A beauty mark in some circles
not considered a blemish at all.
Crazy feelings entertained freely by me
which mean nothing

I pointedly ignore the freckle
the rest of my life......

Conformity For Acceptance
George was to us The Deformed
And his bones The Malformed …
Then, to our rules he conformed,
After he was duly informed
And by us pointedly reformed
And-Lo!-George stooped looking deformed
Nor were his bones still malformed
For overnight, new ones had formed!

Just through his Conformity for Acceptance,
In him stifling Tiger of Resistance....

Premium Member Grandma Cottonwood
Grandmother Cottonwood’s leaves glistened.
Shaking their silver sides against the breeze.
Glossy and pointedly sculpted, a few listened.
As her main twig rolled up his sleeve.

I had not seen a talking tree since Babes in Toyland.
Expected some marching and a mariachi band.
The woods were unnaturally quiet and stark still.
North wind providing a coldish autumn chill....

Uniform Not Mufti
I hope you did Bernard inform
He should be there in uniform
Or else he is the Out - Of - Form,
Who shan't be housed in Lucas Dorm:
Forever A stranger to storm;
My prayer: that kids grab The Norm
Striving to not leave any torn,
So that their guides won't seem won.

Simple: Haters of uniform
We need to pointedly reform
Heads cramming with the unsafely
Of one edging near a mufti...

Called Out of Breath
Called out of breath
To be over there when
Bodies amass and gasp
Truncated furloughs
Through downtown no dose
And beated arms grasp
Pointedly for drowning sensation

Raised eyebrows at consumption
and withdrawal
Not content to sit drooping
And chalkboard signs spell stupor

Porous passion
Healing internal wounds
Like feather surgeons
Taking me back re-membered
When all explorations
Held their own song...

Premium Member I Am Going On a Snake Hunt
I am pointedly going on a snake hunt today.
Most probably going to catch one quickly and keep it in my pretty loo.
Will dress her up for parties, Easter and Halloween too.
I plan to name her Sharky, she will be excited to be mine.
She will become my muse, my sidekick and my slithering sage.
She’ll snake around our Christmas tree delighted, dressed so fine.
I will keep her ‘til we both die of ugliness or old age....

Premium Member Morning Yawn
Pointedly grows
Magnetic bliss throes
Between our eyebrows

We be at ease
Allowing bliss tease
To seductively please

At the heart spacial
Divine energy toroidal
Purrs in a hum magical

Palms & feet
Potent & upbeat
Healing energy tweet

We watch
The jugular notch
Aligning crown to crotch

Divine nectar
Gift of the creator
Enlivens all energy vectors

Thus complete
With bliss replete
Each life pulse we greet

With joy

16-October-2020...

Meditation
Stillness
like a smooth tranquil lake
within
all is calm abiding
as the world around shakes and crumbles
there is emptiness
mindfullness of
non ego
wrapped in silence

Mountain
to be climbed on a daily basis
sits
like a calling beacon
a reminder of intent to practice
making room
inside
for freedom from thought

Pointedly directed
one follows the breath
in and out
serenity
prevails
as time is suspended
and echos of past and future
mingle with
the beauty of the moment....
