California Steaming
One look at a map ought to have shown
What politicians ought to have known
Yet not one would say
Its foolish to lay
Oil pipeline in an earthquake-prone zone!...

Arizona's part of Ukraine
The home of Senator McCain
He'd gladly start shootin'
At Vladimir Putin
Since this terrain's in his domain

Author's note: Senator McCain and Cindy have a vacation house and natural gas pipeline interests in Crimea, but now they are banned from there....

Gifting Sight
There just below the surface,
  more present than you know

A prophetic Jeremiah,
  tracks leading through the snow

His message serves to buttress,
  those standing in the light

A pipeline to eternity,
 —his vision gifting sight

Carousel
On the outside of the pipeline
By the end of the occult session
You see: a carousel!
Of colours and threads woven through time,
Yarn spun with tribal glaze,
Maestro wielding the show of the Swan!

A Masquerade?
Or just another puppet show?
The meaning or distinction gone....

The Rythm.
Poor desolate Niger-Delta.
Patriach of pipeline explosions
and oil-spillages.

From tale to a tale
your days shorten,
and your dreams lay asleep
in the cold of shallow graves.

Though i think of you
as destiny`s child,
you neither come nor go away.

In all my grief,
you are the chief;
as one who gives
all passion away....

Do Not Abuse Me
DO NOT ABUSE ME
I am a petroleum pipeline
Do not abuse me
If I burst, fire may burn you

I am a drug
Do not abuse me
If you take me wrongly
You may develop health problem

I am a motor car
Do not abuse Me
If ther is an accident
You may die

I am a gun
Do not abuse me
If you pull my trigger
You may kill someone

I am a woman
Do not abuse me
If you rape me
There maybe no children for you....

When I was less than twenty-nine
my job was to build a pipe line.
More specifically, it was to find
pipeliners who'd work for a dime
and get the work all done in time.
I watched them and asked them unshined
questions to tickle their minds
that were often quite cloudy from wine.
Me and them men got along fine
and delivered the pipeline sublime.
What they didn't know at the time
was that I was six months shy of nine....

Busboy Forest
Under paper napkin clouds, silver bridges connect the great red mesa.
Bubbling soda rivers run silently behind the spiced Marinara bathed angel hair.
Discarded pipeline strew the banks where black Manzanilla olives Drip from finely
chopped rigatoni hills.Clumps of ice like galciers divide forest of pasta and
breadsticks.Broccoli trees spring from towers of bowls and saucers where bean
sprout and spaghetti vines climb....

Vibrations of the universe; vibrations of the soul; the artist experiences harmonic convergence, every day. Universal mind to soul mind; the golden thread is a pipeline; through which, a god pours ideas. Soul mind to mortal hand is the translation of these. When the artist puts pen to paper, brush to canvas, chisel to wood or stone; hand to instrument or body to the dance floor; enlightenment infects, all around them.

The Ocean, Ours
The ocean, ours; the wild hammock,
ours; sand dunes, ours; walking the pipeline,

ours; serendipity in a time of liberty, ours
We had the sea when it was free,

the Fort, the Port, and around the bend
of our treasure island, free range

to a South End of untarnished beauty--
never a thought that that could change.

And, YES, Lord, we did swim nude,
because we could in cover dark

of no full moon --not about sex
in our Annabel kingdom,

but freedom.
Freedom!...

Line after line of fresh diapers
A daily chore for years
Clothesline held six dozen each day
Unless weather unclear

If there was rain or freezing air
A wooden rack was filled
Placed over the gas floor furnace
Inside clean diapers spilled

Two little ones not potty trained
Now grown and on their own
They hold up a pipeline of love
Since the home nest have flown

America Said Okay
I marvel at the seemingly small things
That collectively form America
And wonder that a human did those things
Without praise or question - just an "Okay"
When told to wire electricity
Into every room in Manhattan-
Or build a building a hundred stories high
Or lay a pipeline three thousand miles long
Or build a dam to impound a mighty river -
Just an "Okay" to remove a mountain
And replace it with a city
America has never heard,"Are you serious?"
It was built on, "Okay"
