Scholars squander sunny days
Coffined in their cloistered nooks,
Where a wise man never stays
Buried, bored, by books.
transient souls
take offs and landings
always going to other places
paper areoplanes
are ghostly things
Unfold, now behold
The truth of how all answers
Are hidden within
Every folded, small facet;
Every fibre part of you.
a po-at-tree
can knot one's
toil...letting...
when
th(e)-oughts go
directly to paper
as any po am
stans sand
Chance the work of man
Necessity a work for you
Paper and cloth
Pen and ink
Needle and thread
dancing with them.
the holy
grail has
been
found
yet
sated
by blood
i'm not
instead a brown
paper bagged
bottle of red
dry wine

Ready to spread words
Evenly across empty paper
Neatly crossing her t's and dotting her i's
Keep the fire burning,
worshipping the ash
Changing paper into smoke

I am a paper
you are weight
without you
I’d fly away
and with you
I am crumpled
crushed under
and faded with age
A white piece of paper lies on a blue table
She looks at me out of the corner of her eye
A flock of birds flies into the air
What is a poet
without his pen & paper?
watch...
as his finger becomes his pen
& the Earth his paper.
...He is still a poet...
There once was a man named Dan
Who sat with a paper fan.
He sat in the sun
and had such fun
and wound up with quite a tan.
Emotions poured out
Thoughts bound together and shelved
Dreams shared on paper

Paper tiger,
Good afternoon
Staring at
The paper moon
Lurking at
The water’s edge,
Capturing the
Beautiful origami bird
Every now
And then
We meet
Old friends
This paper and pen
We make amends
To share this ancient
Ancient glass of wine
Poet,
sharing her soul,
paints a picture with words.
Pen and paper are her canvas.

My memories scream back
echoing down through
small solemn streams of desire
leaving whispers of love and
tears.

In an adept's hand,
graphite sweeps across paper:
a masterpiece birthed.

the New York Times
should show an affinity for rhymes
the leading paper
regarding them quite properly as an essential caper.
Dollars and consensus,
Violate our senses,
A symbol condenses,
Our spirit's presence,
For paper worth less than a cent is.
