Paper Tomb

Scholars squander sunny days
Coffined in their cloistered nooks,

Buried, bored, by books.

Paper tiger,
Good afternoon
Staring at
The paper moon
Lurking at
The water’s edge,
Capturing the

echoing down through
small solemn streams of desire
leaving whispers of love and
tears.

Burning Paper

Charred edges
Slowly curl inward,
Like a hand closing into a fist.
Flames bounce
Briefly as they encroach
Upon the last remaining

So many words are lost
So many are just thoughts
just floating into thin air

No faint whispers heard

                   a single voice in letters
