"paper Voices"

No faint whispers heard

                   a single voice in letters

                                        still reaching your eyes.

Yes, the artistic writer subverts the mundane, colloquial sphere by enlisting rational discourse to more deeply probe the inner emotions, feelings that lie in the inner recesses of the heart and mind. A very good, concise description of the power of the pen to emote!

Thanks for a true friendship, and for reading my poems, Michael. This poem takes me to the cross of the dialectical debate that concerns the oral and the literal culture. Indeed letters are intended by some to replace the voice, and yet the eyes find in them only a piece of all our meanings. Good write.
