Lost Sight
Who inspired Christmas night
What of the star that shined so bright
Santa’s beard long and bright white
  Overshadowing the light….
Pray we’ve not lost sight...

Premium Member Maybe a Cloud
Maybe
It is a cloud
Overshadowing my heart
Since early morning
The beats are slow and quiet
Blood flows into my veins
As if a clear stream, maybe,
It is only a cloud....

Beauty Underneath Silence
Silence of niche in the wilderness
  scenery catches the eye glands
Underneath the sands is the richness
of an oasis within the dried lands.
Beauty overshadowing an arid land,
a living soil encapsulated in Thy hand....

Livid Resurgence of the Titanic
Livid resurgence of the titanic, overshadowing a civilization.
Vivisection of a kingdom enveloping.
Oppressing destruction, death of a grandeur scale warms its heart.
Living under a hindering moon burrows deeper into his soul...

The River
Flowing ceaselessly with power and purpose,
Touching countless lives and no two in the same way,
With power enough to end life and more often reaffirming, cleansing life,
A constant tension overshadowing a peaceful flow,
I sit beside the river and see myself reflected within....

Secrets
Secrets are like hidden treasure
waiting to be discovered
Like the forbidden fruit
waiting to be plucked
Like a veil of lies
covering the face of truth

Grandmother
Grandmother By Saiful Haq:
Skinny Skin Bloomed with Wrinkles,
Overshadowing her dimples,
Staring with Aghast Eyes,
Expressing herself in a fatuous Noise.

Credulous to lavish promises,
Melodramatic to laziness,
Pertinacious in her religious beliefs ,
Punctiliously attending her colleagues.

Torpidly trekking with a wooden stick,
Very Prone to being sick,
Showering her blessings diligently,
Is the patriotic head of Our family....

Premium Member Redwoods
the tall redwood trees
burnt, carved, hollowed for shelter
still green & standing tall

like a redwood tree
I feel tormented and saddened
ignoring hardships
standing here for centuries
sharing calm & serenity

wish I could be like a redwood grove aged with wisdom
I feel like a giant overshadowing my misfortunes
sharing my thoughts and giving peace and happiness to all in world

(A combination of haiku, tanka and sijo)...

Premium Member Love Needs Constant Watering
True love is not a fleeting thing, a fading flower
To be tossed aside when it begins to wither,
But revived, replenished, methodically nurtured,
Restoring the natural beauty it had in its beginning.
Comes the time when lustful romancing subsides,
Matures, perhaps, is the better word to explain—
But the foundational love remains to be watered
And fed, overshadowing the disappointments
That come when we share our life with another.

In Cinema
A movie about horror
Characters playing with mirror
Reflecting images of furor
Dissecting with knives of terror

Villains of phantasm
Heels of sarcasm
Viewers of spasm
Breaking apart like chasm

Stories of apparition
Product of man's illusion
Overshadowing people's intuition
Instinct over perception

Curtains of cinema, wide open and free
Watchers of stigma, cold hands on knee

Lesson of the story, mind over body
Shadows of mystery, glimpse of artistry...

The Theory
I wish to be reborn
of the body, you are tormented with anger today
from your spectacular misfortunes
in the infinite stone
you fight with yourself
with mirrors that smile sarcastically
you smile tenderly
invent the mornings
I must be a little above
ignore the sheets
you are overshadowing me in your fierce longing
at night
grow under my heart
over the breasts that seem
from different hemispheres
you reunite it-

This is how the Universe appeared....
