Overreacting

Do the shadows
talk solemnly, when
the light goes out ?

        *

Walking over the
cobblestones, you return back
to somber childhood.

        *

It was a sudden assault
of the wild winds.
The rusty moon
starts bleeding.

There it is again

Pain has found its way back in

Weaves through my brain

Caught in the feeling

That i should be blamed

Stop with the crying

I'm just overreacting

Nevermind the broken doors

And holes on proud display

I'll just hide outside

Out of your way

Premium Member Reacting To Aphrodite

Stunned by her beauty, our tongues would not work
We could not stop staring, she was a flaming goddess
A princess, a queen, the quintessential woman
We admired her from afar, afraid to get closer.

Her beauty might dazzle our eyes out.
Who is she? I asked, when I regained my speech.
Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty and passion.
Validation that I was not overreacting.

Start Again

Yelling for no reason
Overreacting because I love you
Accusing me of treason
I can't stand you

Ignoring me
When it's convenient
Looking for you
On another continent

Lamenting over loneliness
What happened to our happiness?
It faded away
Into the brevity of yesterday

Why can't we start again
Love each other
Like we did back then
Can we start again?

Hi everyone. I haven't been able to be here as much as I want, as I am still not back to myself yet and entered a second phase of inflamed blood vessels from my immune system overreacting, with leg pain and weakness, with continual tiredness. I have also had internet issues. But, the internet is straightened out, so I hope to be here some more than I was. I apologize for any lack of response or comments during this time.

Thank you

Heidi

Deserve Better

I don't know
why I stayed
when I knew I deserved better.
You made me feel
as though
I was overreacting,
and selfish.
You said I don't drown
in an ocean
I stick my face in a
puddle.
You say the waves that crash
into me
are only cars
driving over puddles.
You told me I was faking it.
I believed you
and coped
with alcohol and drugs.
I got rid of you.
I still feel like I'm
faking,
overreacting,
lying,
like I don't deserve better.

A Stove of Ash and Coal

Although it matters not anywhere else my heart crushes for what it knows better to have...
I am overreacting and incapable of concluding the ordeal inside myself...
I know how vain and futile such an allowance of mind into obsession is...
Indeed a desperate man void of inspiration leaches on any hope...
This inspires the fire within...
Long a go the fire warmed my soul now so cold...
A stove of ash and coal...
How long shall I dwell within this fantasy so real?

Not What I Wished For

You're not what I wanted yesterday,
but a lot can change in a day
Any contact with you changes my mood drastic,
good or bad depending on what you say
This isn't at all what I expected love to be like
When I was a child it all seemed like magic
but this just seems like a nightmare
 I willingly keep replaying
Maybe though this is just what it's like
And the child in me is overreacting
I need to grow up and be miserable
Just like everybody else around me

Premium Member Longfall

Once I fell
A very long way
Time becomes nearly still
Just as they say

In the descent
Strangely, it seems now, I am able to mull
The nearness and implications of my unexpected end
Approaching at the speed of ground

I emerge bruised but something new
Overreacting, interminably repeating
This eventually recedes too
So that I go on as before, stumbling and dreaming

As I fall, I see her watching, still strong
I wonder, she will stand for how long?
