Wander Me
Gimme a wind, a harsh unforgiving March onshore slap in the face lean into and step out wind. Scrub me clean
of all this wait and see what's next. Carry me away from these endless tomorrows. Let me see Today again
rushing up the tide....

Premium Member The Hurricane
The hurricane leaped onshore
dancing with delight
unhinging the tops of buildings
releasing them into the air
like balloons
whose knots are untied
then kicking the hapless battered bottoms
far down the road
before spinning madly on...

Footsteps
Footsteps
Trod in sands
Lines
Drawn by childrens’ hands

Smoothed by onshore winds
To exist
Though briefly
To be expunged
By rolling seas
To leave a canvas ready

For lines
Drawn by chuldrens’ hands
And footsteps
Trod in sands...

Lions Will Be Lions
Humiliation occurs
When pigs and monkeys roars
How a pig became a lion?
How , How a monkey roars?
That's when you stop saying NO
Humiliation occurs
When the lions are here
When the lions onshore
Pigs will be pigs
A monkey will stand for
A monkey , no less , no more...

Rolling 'neath blue skies sea waves mesmerize. With their gentle roar, leave behind onshore seashells, now my own... gifts from depths unknown. October 31, 2017 Contest: Bite Size Poem No 22 Poetry Contest Sponsor: Line Gauthier

Premium Member Yearlings Zigzag
Arctic bear cubs, den, exiting frozen grounds halfway into June. Keeping low, mothers navigate onshore perils, quietly roving. Sensing they've uninvitedly violated wildlife's Xenia, yearlings zigzag. New Haiku
Haiku

Early evening
The day gives way tonight
The child cries.

Tranquil is the sea
Ripples onshore as tar
Absent is the wind

Autumnal darkness
Impatient winter waits
Storm knocks on windows

Frost cracks on timber
Snow makes the land secretive
Will there be a spring?

Spring after rain-fall
Aromatic is the landscape
Broods climbing trees...

Premium Member Languid Lapping
Listen to poem:
Languid waves lapping the shore, syrupy
Lulling winds in hiatus, abeyant
Water clinging, sad to let go, sticky
Silence piercing, unnerving the gulls to mute, tranquillity
The wetness lingers on, soaking in, clammy
Water colors seemingly apt for painting such a scene, self portrait
Prevailing wind, the conductor, hushes the onshore ensemble, quietude.
Calmness is a welcome interlude from rage and bluster, quelled
It's just, for a day or so...

Premium Member California Atmospheric River
Gushing river's flow,
Rain cascades upon the land,
California soaks.

Clouds converge above,
Nature's tears fall, drenching earth,
Life's thirst quenched anew.

Parched landscapes await,
Nature's deluge on its way,
Respite from the drought.

Atmosphere flows,
River of wind and danger,
Coastal erosion.

Waves reach for the sky,
Hazardous winds onshore howl,
Nature's violent dance.

West Coast braces now,
High waves persistently crash,
Erosion's cruel touch....
