They fought tooth and nail
To the amazement of the onlookers
With swollen hills on faces pale;
For brawls are part of night-crawlers...

Dancing is not good

She gains confidence

Arrests the audience

But nothing surprises...

The Onlooker
My thoughts crawl
from the gray sky
and sigh through the debris of time
in not so steady form--

Like the muted shadow
in the middle of the road, like the gaze
of onlookers, who wondered
why I heard not the incoming death...

Premium Member The Crow and I
As I was walking in the snow
I was accosted by a crow
It did not like my face
I ran and it gave chase
Amused onlookers watched the show.

Words spoken quietly
we sometimes hide by palms
when we get close to ears
whistling between the lips
with secretive intent
while onlookers remark
wow like that is so rude!

Premium Member Carrying His Steed to Derby Town
Hidden Face Man of Des Moines was carrying his steed to Derby Town.
It’s the oddest sight, agreed a jokester, a monkey, a duck and a clown.
Onlookers wanted to take a peek, for it is not a matter of course
When you see a man in a turban carrying a brown upside down horse....

Untitled
Cut it- clean

Swath on down under the muscle

Slide along the bone

Withdraw

Now enter lightly, gently, deeply

Hilt rested upon the surface

Step back
(don't lose your grip)

Bow to your partner

Turn
and
salute any onlookers

Sheath the pen and walk away...

Blue Jeans
tattered
and torn
these old jeans
like a frayed soul
beyond repair
still catch eyes
of onlookers
as i walk by

patches
hide the threads
and worn out seams
from view

dirtied
then washed
with tears
yet stains
remain

some things
can”t be cleaned
nor replaced...

Premium Member Hail the Future Queen
A switch when placed upon her head;
some tried to take that crown and bled;
Forgot that she was not spoon fed;
Her fate long ago decided;

Confident, a well run machine;
Strength leaves her standing serene,
onlookers may call this obscene;
Hail the future queen, hail the future queen....

My Functional Movement Disorder
Turned me into a performer.

My body becomes jerky,
And I move quirky.

My arms  move spasmodic,
Onlookers may think I am neurotic.

But I am not foolish or silly,
This disorder will not kill me.

So if you see my jerks,
Know they are now my quirks....

Three Haiku Rose Poems
beautiful, garden, imagery, nature, red, valentines day, word play

The green velvet leaves
Bring onlookers to look down
Upon red rose hips!

Red petaled blossoms
Tip the leaf and thorny branches
With splendid allure!

Petals shout out calls
Their leaves are green and spread
On thick thorny branches!...

(Tanka Prose)

The anticipation was palpable, as the field filled with anxious onlookers. Locals mixed with those who had traveled from far away to share a moment~

           the shadow crept
           then it was dark
               eclipse
           something so small hides
           and exposes realities...

True Love
His gaze meets  hers
No words spoken
Yet communication
With love as a token
Their hearts knew eachother
Before did their eyes
Two young lovers
Onlookers surmize
But this is the first
Time their eyes meet
He lost his breath
Her heart took a leap
So much has been said
With just a glance
Two souls reunited
True Romance...

Premium Member A Magical Moonlit Night
It's a lovely magical night in June,
lovers dance under the moon.
They're in sync with the soft tune;
tonight is the couple's honeymoon.
A blue Jay nearby starts to croon;
onlookers just stare and swoon.
The young lovers married at noon,
they can't wait to cuddle and spoon.

Open Robbery
I am not astonished at all:
If someone stepped in your front,
And bully You like a moron.
You will find being forlorn
In a Helpless complexion
Even though Many people
And many monitors out there
Looking on you

As you are too unfamiliar
To the onlookers
And too common
To the monitors,
Achieving an open Robber...
