So very proud
I just quit smoking
Five minutes ago
Nothing to it
I've quit smoking
Thousands of times
Just takes willpower...

After waiting for the day to clear
I pause and there below the ground
nagging at my feet , a beast ,
so cleverly looks up at me.
I step back amid the blooms
And chewed my lip
The beast turned the other way
for I was just nothing to it
The limits by my despair
Nothing to it can compare
Try I might, but can not leap
Forever fear the marks I will reap
Bound together, you and I
Changeled rings we can not defy
Inept from one single act
Can we infinitely remain intact?
Sat there.
We just sat there,
There was nothing to it,

There, is it ever

Why there, why sit
With me or is it just
Me?
Because we sat there,
Smile to my ear,
Oh dear, over there,
You sat there with me.
Sat there,
I've said it quite enough,
You might think nothing
Of it; but, is it really ever?
Because we sat there,
You sat there and you knew,
That over there, anywhere,
That I didn't really care,
I simply sat to be with you.
Lethargic and listless
lacking all zest,
I lie on the rocks
under the blazing sun.
The calm sea kisses
the rocky shore,
but no sea breeze
breathes on me.
The salt on my back
basks and bakes
and turns an ugly red.
Nothing to it but jump
back into the cool sea,
tempting the jellyfish
to sting my feet.
But on the beach
the newly crowned queen,
the one who scorns me,
parades herself
scantily dressed,
all eyes riveted on her.
I wonder who's worse:
herself or the jellyfish!
You can take a dislike of my rhymes or even read them a hundred times. There is no mood in which I fit, I write what I write there's nothing to it.
I don't think of the words I choose, I put more thought into picking my new shoes.
For me writing is a release no need to call the poet police.
I don't care what anyone thinks, who's to say their poems don't stink!
All I want to do it write I don't care if my grammars alright So please bare this in mind or move along, leave my poems behind.

and i danced in the psychedelic rain sober yet
high on one another
